The Black Screen of Death

So has anyone else had this problem....after the host starts the game, my screen goes black.  The game still loads fine, i can hear and move just like normal, but i can't see a damn thing, nothing but a blank screen.  Has anyone else had this problem, and better yet, solved this problem?

I think I've had something similar: I've had the starting dialogue stay up as the game begins, while I can still move and shoot, etc. Hiting esc solves this. Further, I'd EXPECT, hitting esc MIGHT do something. Elsewise just wack the moniter.

It always makes me feel better.

Re-install the game.  There's no other option.  I've had this problem, too.

Tried both of your suggestion...hitting escape doesn't do it.  reinstalled the game, the problem remains, although it is a little less frequent now.  i think my next option is jumping out my window.

splinter dont jump, i enjoy playing w/ u. just dont host, you lag anyway...lol
