i hadn't seen this posted here for mac users.

you can gain some fps in ghr by opening game in quick mission, opening the console, and entering:

togglemovetrees

as it sounds, this command stops trees from swaying in the elements. pc guys claim a gain of 4-12 fps. if you are grasping for more fps, it's worth a shot.

and for review: gain fps by setiing options to 16 bit, no bodies, no bullets, no shadows, no mipmap.

to the contrary, honorable friend, it DOES work in mp. you should have tried to make it work before reflexively poo-pooing the idea. just exit your sp game and join the mp game of your choice.

however, it does NOT hold after you quit the program. you must enter the toggle command each time you restart ghr. take note of this, my honorable guest.

I just tried that out, and it didn't help me at all. I did a firefight in Farm Day (lots of trees). I looked at a heap of trees and noted my framerate: 19 FPS. Without moving the camera, I opened the console and turned off tree movement. They stopped moving, I dismissed the console, and noted my framerate: 19/20 FPS (it was flipping between 19 and 20 about once every two seconds).

Hopefully this'll be the panacea for somebody, but for me, it did jack. YMMV.

Two questions:

1.  Is this valid for the demo, too?

2.  What is, in this case, a console?

Look at our Articles section: cheats and codes for Ghost Recon(Tutorials). THere is everything about  the console and commands. It should work for the demo as well but I never tried it.
