The thing about rifles is that they require skill. Plus more and more people are playing with the realism mod. SMG's is mainly spray and pray. That's why you find more and more hosts hosting with rifles only.

Now that I think about it...in WW2 they had nade launchers. It was a modified M1 that could launch little spear like grenades at great distance. Sort of like a mini artillery gun. I don't know why the grenade launcher would be on the mauser....I don't think the SS had such weapons. When I looked at the movies for the expansion it looked like a bunch of artillery and stuff. That's what it was like during The Battle of the Bulge and Bastogne. Heavy german artillery and a ton of mg42's. So I suppose they made the expansion correctly.

PY you are right they did, it was a experimental thing, but not a common thing, it started with germany haveing them on mausers then, another weapond of Hitlers to "save" the war, like the G43, STG44, Panzershrek/PanzerFaust, Heavy Water Plants and research into Nuclear Bombs and last but not the least Vengance2 rockets, the one used in Operation Sea Lion as an, example...

like always the enemy would gain and try to use the tech. the Nozel mounted GR dident prove to efective still. i thought you meant other typr of GR's, you see a WW2 GR in SPR and begining when takeing out artillary. my mistako. Wink

I'm sure Aspyr will port it down the road. Just check their website periodically and see what their projects are currently.

I hope it isn't cheasy like assassin says. They usually change the gameplay when its ported for the mac...so the retarded crap may be taken out. Grenade launchers would be lame in mp. That's the only weapon people would use....since a lot like the rocket. Whatever Aspyr does I hope they do the right thing.

The shotgun isn't lame, it's realistic that it only takes one shot to bring an enemy down, and it's just good on tight maps anyway.
A GL attached to the Mauser? wtf?

yes there were gl's attached to mausers, and shotties are gay because they did have body armor maybe can't stop rifle rounds like STG44, Mauser, Grand, BAR and sniper rifles, but when hit with a shottie say in chest (where most shottie shots are taken derr!) it could provide eficiant stoping power to only stun an enemy or not even that, so the resolution is, that the shottie when against the US forces, whitch is what you mainly face in MOHAA, you might not get fucked over, ok? not that your ignorence has been shown on how little you know about WW2, go back to you box bitch! noob shootie whore

I had no idea they had any kind of GL's attached to rifles back then and I also didn't know they had any body armor 'cept for the helmet, don't know a lot about the ww2, that's true, not that interested either. And heh, I don't use the shottie, I just don't think it's lame.

They had GL launchers attached to M1's but they were extremely rare. It required a modification to the barrel of the rifle and extremely good aim. They mostly used artillery and .50 cal machine guns for big jobs. Body armor was used back in ww2 but it wasn't able to stop buckshot dead in its tracks. It could slow bullets down but not stop them. The helmet could sometimes protect from small rounds but it wasn't good enough.
