got a question

I was wondering if you guys ever thought of moving your files off fileplanet? Because with the way they set up their server, its utterly impossible to download anything off of it. I hope I'm not alone when I say that having to wait 5 minutes to download a file that only takes 1 minute to get is kinda dumb.

Mauti, if you have unlimited web space on GameSpy, you CAN just put them on the site itself, many other mod sites do that (Mod Vault and many Unreal Tournament mod sites)

It would enable US to get our downloads which is the ultimate goal

Or have you considered getting your own web hosting package/domain name?

I know you already have to pay something for this BB, and if you could afford a domain it would be worth it.  My Dad's law office has 100some Mbs of webhosting space for not too much money per month.  Of course you can buy as much space as you need.

First Fileplanet has a new download system and the Italy server was also activated for normal user. Now you should be able to download your mods faster. Why should I move to another host Loud??? I pay nothing for anything here GameSpy sponsors me the webspace and techsupport(currently I am using almost 700MB, 600MB are mods and 100MB is my website) and this BB is free Loud I am only not allowed to remove the Copyright by YaBB tag. I am happy here and Wrath I know ModVault are putting their mods on the website server but they do it illegaly or better GameSpy tolerates it but at all GameSpy wants that you put your files on the fileplanet - server and I can live with it especially with the new d/l system!

Black Sheep - i totaly agree the the MOM is the best, but it doesnt have ANY good MODs! maybe its creater can talk to Mauti about making it use the DAMN Mac MOD Index to get MOD's to download? it would be way better then!

i dunno man i get almost all my mods from MOM. First i check em' out in the *DAMN mod section then i find them in the MOM list.
It's true that some of the mods aren't there, like silent street, (awsome map) but stuff like mesa, mall, and rrr102 are all there.
either way MOM's best feature is not having to wait for fileplanet.
croonerb the creator says he updates the list, so maybe you should talk to him.

Well the reasob why MOM wasn't updated for a long time is that Croonerb is working on a sequel to MOM that bases on C++ so all Mac user can enjoy it. Maybe I will continue and update the current version of MOM once the website is done. We will see! By the way Romulus and Black Sheep please DON'T add tons of smileys under each post. This kind of spamming is very annoying if you use it for every post. Thanks.
