How do you make seams and pockets on the shirts and pants for skins?  Do you have to find a picture that already has them or are there other ways to edit these into the texture?

There's a lot of ways, the most realistic is to ty to find pics with visible seams, and incorporate them. You can also overlap layers and doctor up the edge to look like a seam, or you can draw them yourself... models are different so you will have to experiment with the placement.
