I've downloaded the IDF mod. It's a great mod when I use it in singleplayer but in multiplayer the mod doesn't work. In the soldier selection screen the soldiers have blank (no textures) faces and if i start the game it crashes. Does anyone know what to do about this??I'd love to use this mod in multiplayer

1st make sure you have the latest patches installed. if that doesn't fix the problem, adjust your video settings detail levels... I don't know how much video ram you have but if it's not enough, you'll see textures missing. I really would reccommend a 32 meg video card for this mod.

I've got a 64 mb geforce2 so i think that's enough, everything works fine in singleplayer though. Also got all the latest patches and desert siege installed. Huh

Try turning off the "Mipmap" feature. With your G-Force card you don't need it anyway.

I also have the same problem in multiplayer.  Cocobolo, as a member of the XRW clan I mentioned your mod to my other members for our server.  But after when i tried a multiplayer test i wouldn't show faces (only the faces are missing and mipmapping is already turned off). I love your mod, it is great for a verision 1.0, but there are some issues i would like to adress.  Such as great guns (knights SR15 sniper and assault for example) are only avaliable to certain restrictions (such as AK vs. colts and SD primaries).  NO RESTRICTIONS should allow a person to pick ALL WEAPONS (plus there are 2 no restrictions). The weapons are very well done, the sounds are great, the camos are all unique( do to the colours i am not sure about usefullness on certain maps, such as black in the desert and beige in the forest)  The only gripe i have really is the lack of multiplayer.  I found it funny that no one on UBI was using it, so i tested it out my self.  I found the faces were missing (thought it was strange at first) and when i started a multiplayer game it would boot me back to the desktop.  And YES my vid card can handle your mod.  I runs smoth in singleplayer, and a 128 meg Geforce 4 Ti4200 should easily run the game in multiplayer.

Please do not take this the wrong way.  I am not dissing your mod, i love it.  I am just trying to help u make a good mod great.  Me (XRW_White Wolf) and a fellow clan member (XRW_Alley Viper)have reviewed the singleplayer and we love it.  From a clan point of view, GRM6 is the ultimate mod, but do to issues with "copyright issues" it has been banned from most sites.  Very few ppl can get it anymore so we are trying to get a replacement.  On a scale of 1-10 (GRM6 being 10) i gave your mod a 8.5-9.  Sensors would raise my score  Grin

You are more then welcome to come to our site :

Thanks for the input. This is our first modding venture into GR so there's a few things I had to learn, lol..

I found the face texture bug this weekend, it was a problem with the actor files that only surfaces when using DS maps in MP, I believe it could also cause some problems in MP but haven't seen them myself.. I fixed that, and included it in the patch which should be out this week.

The mod should show no texture problems in MP when using the game with DS deactivated. Small issue I overlooked. As for the "no-restrictions", to include every weapon was the goal but a couple may have been overlooked due to their late addition to the mod, or due to my migranes, lol.. Restriction files have been updated.

Stay tuned for the patch! Expect to see new weapons, restrictions, some uniform tweaks, etc..

SWEET.  I think that once the patch is out your mod will be THE BOMB.  I like is singleplayer, to once everything is fixed I'm sure I'll love it in multiplayer.
