Title: New Computer Advice Post by: Overthrow.aHa! on February 25, 2006, 05:40:24 am The family computer is getting replaced and we're looking to get an iMac G5, does anyone happen to have a suggestion? Should we wait until the next intel ones are released or buy now?

I overlooked that he wrote "iMac G5". Get one of the new Intel-iMacs of course, preferably the 20" model.

Sort of related: Anyone think there will be a 15 inch iMac or 17 inch Cinema Display ever again? it would be nice for a traditionally non-computer area or small desk. Title: Re: New Computer Advice Post by: BFG on February 26, 2006, 11:16:35 am Yeah there was an issue with the grpahics card - (thats the ATI Radeo X1600, very nice) comes as standard with 128MB but apple then added a BTO option for the same card with 256MB VRAM for only a measly $75. The BTO option then disapeard but has come back again!!
Fun and roundabouts with apple, fantastic graphics card to be putting in the imacs though!! |
