Gawd i hate disney films though Title: Re: Disney to acquire Pixar Post by: Civrock on January 24, 2006, 11:38:49 pm Well, Disnay isn't only Mickey Mouse etc... they also own several TV stations here in the US, like ABC, who have the series Lost, Desperate Housewives and others. They have a HUGE influence in the market and it can only be good for Apple with Steve Jobs' influence in the Board of Directors.

Title: Re: Disney to acquire Pixar Post by: (SiX)Sheixhundt on March 01, 2006, 03:26:54 am Cool, now they can start focusing on making all consumer related things OTHER than movies...
Just like theyre doing in their consumer products division ..what with the overrun of ipods, $99 ipod cases, home stereo systems remote controls, photo apps that no one will use and other useless crap. If they even keep making movies...maybe we'll get movies that play at only 13 frames a second, instead of 32.5..(well, until they are ported and patched) and maybe theyll make us some really cool minimalistic movie chairs..OH AND POPCORN....AND REALLY COOL COMMERCIALS...like kids happily sitting in front of their mac mini multimedia home entertainment systems (with the piss-ant 80 gig drives) and cute little ipod headphones..and ipod speakers..and then they can all hook up their OTHEr computers together so they can play four year old games...because well...this new batch of offerings isnt likely to even be ABLE to run the next gen set of games, but thats another thread.. *cough* get it? Multimedia systems with only 80 gigs....Anyone else see how damn funny that is? Youre right, its not funny. All sorts of cool shit to keep us from focusing on the fact that he outright LIED about 3 gig machines.. Sigh.... I remember a day, not so long ago, that Apple was known for making..OMFG...COMPUTERS. Disclaimer: the above is intended as satire only, so any cute snarky 'taking yourself way too seriously' rebuttal type things about the 'wonder' that is apple, will get nothing but a Pffftt...hahahah, and W/E from me. |
