Well, it was a lot funnier until I actually went to the forums, and read them.

What Those dipshits were calling 'very vocal' was the simple crime of posting more than a three sentence reply. Its an odd forum protocol; people who are willing to actually thoroughly get INTO the subject on the board get jumped or flamed. I guess its troubleseome to ask people to read so many words all at once. Scary thought really, and exposes what a fucking insincere joke most forums are. They ask you to discuss an issue, but if you get past the (pond-scum) surface, you're being 'vocal' or troublesome or whatever they were implying. Pathetic.

Par for the course to jump the guy who knows what hes talking about.

Civic didnt flame, (unless i was reading the wrong thread) was polite, offered explanations for his thoughts, and followed by stating that misunderstandings with his message may have to do with English being a second language.

Whatever they want to call it, I agree with it [edit: 'it' being Civic's comments].  I listened to much of Podcast 1; it was inane and uninformative.

if thats flaming...well then there's a bit of a sensitivity issue that should be dealt with. hmm actually why dont ya'll call ophra and ask her producers  if you can get on her show about "internet teens who cant handle critisism"?  but...civic could take a courtesy class.

IMG as a whole is a relatively uninformed group. They seem to have a superiority complex over the rest of any mac gamers. They have stirred trouble with the Gamespy issue, as well as some similar situations. Hopefully they will soon become outdated and unneeded with the expansion of Mac Gaming into a whole new realm with he x86 era.

Overall, IMG reviews are bias, the news is bland, and there really isn't all that many positive points to them when you can get the same news from MacNN, Mac World, or any other mac news site. I would expect some trolling from them if they come across this, but in the end of the day they are too Ma't'ure [note pronunciation in posh sense].

We should make our own news site...

i'll be the special pc news correspondant, i will tell you how many times my computer crashed each weak! and also special editorials on all the viruses i get, and exactly which porn websites they make pop up when my little brother is trying to look up batman pictures!

Yeah, we lost power around 6AM on Monday and got it back around an hour ago... what a fuckin' terrible week without pretty much any media and internet. I have to catch up on so much now... jeez, lol. So yeah, our house and the car didn't get any damage fortunately, in contradiction to 99% of the rest of South Florida, especially the eastern part. I made lots of pictures from the first days after and will a link once I found the time to put them online.

P.S.: Blake Buck is a moron and a wannabe journalist/reporter, VERY unprofessional, and I'm saying that as a freelance journalist/reporter with some years of experience. He should finish highschool first... but I'm not gonna get into that further. ::) IMG has gone steep downhill in the last months... it's too bad that they started to let pretty much everyone write for them, best example being the video reviews and the podcasts. What a fuckin' joke.

Yeah - I kinda bitched at them on the forums - nobody's really replied to me yet.

Why do you think its going downhill?  I think the daily news reports are good.

I guess there will just have to be some competition to demonstrate the difference.

We need some English majors to write some good reviews on games with tips ect.  Also some guy to be the mac rumors whore (Civic ;)).

One, IMG posts 6 stories a day, usually about some indie kiddie games or a Aspyr press release reworded. Besides that you have their bias reviews blabbering on about how great strategy games are and how every FPS sucks. Don't get me started on their PC reports on games... Usually just a random article that fits into the goals of a certain Mac Game company.

I would sit all day and wait for something that could resemble news for mac, but I have academic, work and personal obligations; all of which the IMG staff should spend a bit more time figuring out about. The podcasts should be a clear idea of what IMG stands for. I truly find myself visiting IMG less and less as MacNN, Mac Central, and other popular general mac news sites cover their stories. For game reviews I visit Gamespy/Gamespot/IGN/etc due to the fact you aren't getting this little niche perspective.

IMG just doesn't have any appeal as long as they just sit back waiting for a controversy, meanwhile spewing shit that their reader base doesn't give a damn about. I would urge all of you to read IMG's Stupid Letters to IMG [or whatever it's called] simply to demonstrate how weak IMG's presence is. No site that actually presented themselves in a straight forward, non-tabloid way wouldn't be receiving random emails about such insanity.

While we're on the topic of IMG, their splash screen is absolute garbage. No site that is dedicated to any community, besides the wannabie millionaires club, would run such atrocious ads. IMG Poll section is shitty, as they have run out of gaming related questions! [ex. "What matters more in a job?" come on.] The last time IMG had any sneak preview it was still August. The only FPS to make it to IMG's top 5 reviews ever was MoH:AA... seriously, that's not a worthy game. How many advertisement side bar headers do you need? Three is their lucky number. IMG Pro is just a rip off like GR Premium by taking away some fundamentals of other sites and putting a $ figure to them.

IMG isn't committed to this community. However, let us be thankful that they have started using spell check.

You have valid points mysterio regarding the professionalism of IMG podcasts, but it is informative and entertaining.  However, I didn't agree with stating Civic's name.  About Ads on IMG, it isn't as bad as IGN, Gamespy, they got popup ads, splash ads to view screenshots, its just as bad or worse on PC sites.  The poll section seems out of place, design wise and possible questions.

If you'd like to see IMG improve, post this in their Feedback forum, no other way they will know until you bring it to them, and if you say they ignore there reader base, maybe certain members of IMG forum are biased, but not everyone.
