Title: What podcasts do you subscribe to?
Post by: Toxic::Joka on September 23, 2005, 12:04:39 pm
Well the subject pretty much says it, I just got into this whole "podcasting scene" and so far I'm only subscribing to the national broadcasting company's podcast. Just wondering if there's any intresting out there I'm missing out on  :)

Hey, I do use iTunes!  Both on my G5 at home and on my PC at work.  Guess I should look into it!

TikiBar TV. It's a video one, and from what I can see I can only get the audio from iTunes. It's hillarious. I also subscribe to a bunch of Irish music podcasts but I doubt people care about that. ;)

well yes, in two different ways:

1. you can download podcasts - basically radio shows that are dl'ed to your ipod like any tune which u can then listen to.

2. you get a fm transmitter for your ipod (mini) which lets you listen to FM radio. quite a few companies offer such gadgets!

There's one called Celtic Music News. It's traditional Irish music and a lot of celtic rock stuff, too. They usually feature 2-3 bands a podcast. If that's not enough for quench your thirst, go to live365.com and search for Celtic Melt. Awesome internet radio station. Also, FergusWorld.com is a celtic rock station. Pretty cool stuff, and funny commercials.

Eerm are we talking serious traditional irish music here, or the shitty assed "lord of the ass river dance" shite that is dribbled out?  because i love traditional irish music but i'll beat any fecker who listens to that corny half arsed ponsey crap they shove out to american (no offence) audiences who want to re aquaint themselves with their 'irish heritage'

just asking ;)
