If u ask me, i think the regular maps for rvs r getting boring and i thought maybe we could do something similar as in ghr.
i wonder what u guys think about it, maybe its a stupid idea i dunno.

well, it would be nice, but who is going to make the maps?

There are quite a few of them about, and ive seen quite a few Raven-shield map-packs pop up on various torrent networks.

Nik i don't think we'd have anything against a RvS map-pack, id certainly like to play some other maps (pity AS is a bit yucky as i loved playing the old traditional RS maps again! :D ) but to do it we need 1. a comprehensive list of maps from the community, 2. a able and dedicated team of people to test those maps to death etc (although this may not be such an issue as with spawns etc in GhR) and 3. well the demand from the community as a whole to want such a map-pack!

I would suggest you contact Monoman. He does many RvS maps, which are sometimes hard to reach due to a bad server he's stuck on. I'm sure he could help you guys bring something together.

I would also think that a content to design layouts for maps (bet them on napkins, PS, or another other way) to get some fresh ideas on maps and make RvS what the players want.

I'll help with test/design if needed.

Monoman did The Bridge from AA i think for RVS.  It's fuckin sweet.

I also voluteer. I wrote a big long speech about letting people that play the game pick the maps and picking ones that play well not just look nice etc etc. But in a rush to get the last spot in harveys room I lost it. Anyway count me in. I cant map for lack of a real pc but I can write uscript to a certain extent if ever needed. But to be honest theres a fair few decent maps out there already they just need to be sifted out from the piles of steaming dog***t. Also please no "Anti Camper" or any of its equally bad variations.

I still think it would be fun to do some of our own custom maps. If anyone has a map from the list there that they are really impressed with, don't hesitate to post it.

First, all the maps on my Planet site are also on the Mac Gaming Mods site just without the crappy Fileplanet.

There alot alot of good maps, it just depends on your preference. I like a few maps that no one else seems too.  ;) I do agree with Vick on the Bridge SE map from AA. It is a great map for sniper and rush. Is the map pack going to be a mix of styles, cqb and sniper for example?

I believe they are going for a mix, but who is they at this point... In any case I think we need to keep the complexity level on par with the rest of RvS, there are no over simplified maps and there shouldn't be any in the map pack.
