Title: Red Orchestra Post by: BFG on July 05, 2005, 07:04:27 pm According to IMG v3.3 of Red Orchestra the WWII Mod for UT2003/2004 has just been released... Ive heard a little about RO (it won the Unreal awards for best mod etc and was granted a full licence of the unreal engine i think?) but i mosied on over to their website to take a better look... and what i saw was kinda ... well it looks and seems to be everything that BF1942 isn't wasn't and couln't be. Better realism, graphics, gameplay um better everything... but i was wondering, has anyone played it, what was your experience of it, and is it worth me going to download!

I played the older version and I think it is good but not great. I prefer CoD:UO for WW2 combat. The killcam rules. However RO has much better realism. Title: Re: Red Orchestra Post by: (SiX)Sheixhundt on July 05, 2005, 10:49:08 pm Im with Ross all the way.
I got it and played ahwile, and even beofre the update, the servers were dying. Tru on the realism, but to my gaming sense, CoD:UO rapes it inna bootay! Plus, you get a great sp game with UO, and theres not nearly as much bunnyhopping and spray. (although theres some) its just that maps are bigger, Kickass tanks and jeeps, and im still stunned that more GR peeps dont play. We have a pretty hardcore team in UO with mpAlaric, Mpbrain, MPNomad, destructo, and Kilzo. We are feared, and 100% of the time take the top spots on the scoreboard. I dont have the updated RO, but i gave up on it due to lack of servers. Kind of a pain to install (not too hard, but a pain) and Uo just fixes my WW2 Jones just fine..
