Title: Mauti RSDB thread
Post by: Cocobolo on March 15, 2001, 11:50:09 am
Hey man thanks for that post on the coco board, I am trying to be diplomatic about it and not flame a reviewer, but I agree with you. It doesn't seem like he spent much time looking at the mod to overlook such things, I would never do that to somebody's hard work. Oh well, I'm sure I got quite a few downloads off that link on the review page, so who cares, let the players decide. we're up over 1300 in 3 days!?! Do you track #'s of DL's on your Mac converts? just curious.

You ever notice the ones who give these reviews never make their own mods? Afraid of criticism? hmmm Poetic justice?

Sure Coco we also track all downloads of our Mac mods and ports. However fileplanet was and is very busy ?at the moment. The new Counter Strike release slows everything down or doesn't allow any further downloads. Over 53.000 ?87.5 MB downloads is also for a 300Mbit fast fileplanet not so easy to handle.(the 53.000 was only at fileplanet - Few 100.000 downloads worldwide on the first day) I really wonder how you could get downloads at all in the past days! Whenever I tried to access the fileplanet is says Server is busy. I guess tomorrow every CounterStrike player has the 1.1 patch. Lol the counter-strike makers have over 40 official mirrors worldwide nevertheless was every mirror out of order after this download rush. So just click on your HK Mod link Coco and you will get the number of d/ls as you do on your website. However I will contact you about how many d/ls you have but note that the Mac community isn't so large. The most popular RS mod is currently the Counter Strike 2 mods with over 1600 downloads and then comes my Rainbow Six mod R6 Never Dies with approximatley 1300 downloads.

Afraid of criticism? hmmm Poetic justice? Yes you are right!
