I applaud DVForge for their effort, but I find it understandable that Apple would become a bit skittish when it heard what was going on. In my non-business-educated mind, it generally isnt a good idea to offer 25,000 to somebody to produce a virus for your operating system. If the entire hacking world put its mind to it, I'm sure there would be a way (as was said in the article). Plus, the legal side to things makes sense. Regardless, kudos to DVForge for countering Symantec. |
