Title: iTunes Freezing Post by: :MoD:Shade on March 07, 2005, 11:40:27 pm Latley I've been noticing that my iTunes freezes alot. My iTunes is set to open up when I first turn on my computer but I often close it afterwards. When I try to reopen it my iTunes freezes while trying to open and my menubar also freezes.
Are there any fixes to this? Title: Re: iTunes Freezing Post by: BTs_Mysterio on March 08, 2005, 04:58:16 am Of-course you already tried turning off start up items. However, spec wise/OS/update wise you have to be more specific.

OS: 10.3.8 256 RAM, 32 MB nVidia GeForce2. I've got 1828 songs in iTunes taking up 8.4 MB. If you can only afford 256 that will still help.

I've got 1828 songs in iTunes taking up 8.4 MB. I've never had a problem with iTunes freezing on my G5 with OS 10.3.8. I don't have it starting up with the computer though. Also, the RAM sounds like it might be a problem (I have 2.5GB so I don't normally have RAM-associated problems). The part that amazes me is 1,828 songs taking up 8.4MB. Must be MP3 format or something. I have over 2,000 songs in my iTunes copied in full-quality AIFF format just like on a CD...takes up a wee bit over 100GB. Which is why I'm buying another hard drive...lol Title: Re: iTunes Freezing Post by: Civrock on March 08, 2005, 03:47:45 pm i think it was a typo and he meant 8.4 GB. ;)
