Title: Memory Installation - 1.5GHZ 15" Powerbook Post by: Typhy on March 06, 2005, 02:50:34 am Alright, stupid question here, but I can't figure it out.
I'm going to be upgrading the RAM on my Powerbook ( 512MB upgraded to 1.5GBs ). How the hell do I do this? On my old one ( 1GHZ, 15.2" ), you just popped open the keyboard, I assume it's the same on this one, but how do you open the keyboard? 15.2" 1.5GHZ Super Drive. Thanks, Typhy Title: Re: Memory Installation - 1.5GHZ 15" Powerbook Post by: Civrock on March 06, 2005, 02:59:13 am download this (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/powerbook/PBG415_0342507UG.pdf) file and go to the "Add Memory To Your Computer" part. it's explained very detailed with pictures.
actually... it should say it in the manual that came with the PowerBook also. (i have a 12'' powerbook)

2. Please for the love of god make sure you earth yourself before you install the RAM - you can even get little braclets with a croc clip on the end to make sure your earthed but if you put a static shock through that ram chip your buggered without lubrication! Quote Who keeps those things around? I grabbed the computer and threw away all the CDs and shit that came with it. Civic summed that one up... eh like you threw your 10.3 CD's away heh. To put that in "American" English, he means to make sure you GROUND yourself, Typhy. You can buy GROUNDING STRAPS that will help with that. Earthed? lol, who ever heard of such a thing![/size] ;) Title: Re: Memory Installation - 1.5GHZ 15" Powerbook Post by: Typhy on March 06, 2005, 03:40:26 pm Who keeps those things around? As for the manuals and CDs, yes, I threw them away.
