Title: How to make a remote restartable server? Post by: gsr on March 03, 2005, 05:03:33 am {E} is working on making a dedicated server and would like it to be remotely restartable. I know fluorescentmigrain's servers do this via e-mail. Unfortunately, the wasted youth pages have dissappeared. I googled around a bit and did not find anything useful, and for some reason, the search is not working for me here.
Anyone have any suggestions/resources for this? Thanks. Title: Re: How to make a remote restartable server? Post by: BFG on March 03, 2005, 10:11:58 am Yes :MoD: Bigtex coded a script that would remotely restart a server - all you did was put a specific word in the subject title ( 'restart' funnily enough ;) ) and that did the trick.
Eerm come to think of it i think you will find it in the Mac Downloads section, if not im sure we have a copy floating about i'll see what i can find for ya. Title: Re: How to make a remote restartable server? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on March 03, 2005, 12:05:35 pm Yes I never uploaded it because both the Bigtex Mod tool as well as the other script never worked on my iMac... I couldn't even start them.
May it works with the current Mac OSX version... However as soon as I would have a working version I will upload it. Bye, Mauti Title: Re: How to make a remote restartable server?
