Works perfect, thank you  ::bussi::
I just hope Evill dosen't start with his annoying permabanning again.

PS. If you could implement buddy lists that would be great  :D

Mostly for permabanned players who want to come back and chat. Search the forums, there have been extensive posts on this topic.

Well the reason why GhostRecon GameRanger hosted games are Mac only and can't be Ip joined by PC players is that Evill implemented a way to block PC users not only by the password - there must be something else that blocks PC users. If you host a normal game on your own everybody can join without a hassle.

Nevertheless you are right about RvS and AS.

Bye,

Mauti

The RvS/AS aren't incompatible if he could mock up a way that UBI IDs could work as GR IDs and thus mac compatibility.

well, AFAIK Glenda stated various times that RvS and AS PC <> Mac networking isn't possible due to RvS's use of DirectPlay as the networking protocol, which would have to be reverse engineered by Aspyr, with unknown legal and technical consequences. The fact that you can see PC LAN servers in the RvS server browser doesn't mean that the networking protocol is the same.

Yes, Evill does tend to perma ban people that he catches hacking into GameRanger from a PC.  Just a word of advice...create a new screen name if you try it.[/size]

There was/is also Punkbuster compatability issues.

lol... My friend made it sound a lot harder, it's hard for me to understand what he's talking about.  If it's that easy we can get it work :) .

One more q, if some one finds out, and they band you, will they band your IP, or your account?  I would think IP, because that seems to be the way they do it most of the time.

 ::applause::        ::sniper::  ::nade::

From what I hear, Evill has the ability to not only ban your IP and your account...but also your Mac's personal electronic signature.  Forget what it's called.  So, even if you switched IP's, your mac itself would still be banned.  Just what I've heard.  And can anybody tell me what that's called?  Mac address?  Something like that.

What you mean is the MAC address (wikipedia) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address), which is supposed to be unique for every network adapter. It is possible to change it though.
