Tell us your dream opponent you would like to play and in which ladder?

At all there shouldn't be any excuses,  just lower your sheep bet, it's about playing and then looking how good you are, e.g. GhostSniper in the GhR FFA ladder, he doesn't look who his opponents are he just plays even if he may sometimes doesn't get any points for winning a few rounds. He uses the ladder as feedback, as it should be. You play and then you have a look at it and see how well you have done compared to the others, of course when the end comes nearer(last week) you may be more careful or more risky depending on your goals but after 2 weeks in the season there is no reason to do so!

So post your opponents you would like to play and may we can get those matches going.

"GM,BTs, and X1?" Ban of SL, when they all hated fridge lol.  Anyway there is no reason not to want to play everyclan out there.

nothing's weird in my post. It was obvious for me that tribe was no match for zt, but i wanted numbers to verify that. DBL doesnt give the results for the past season.

Whether they were any match or not isnt relavant. The clans agreed to cb.

personaly i like to cb any clan that I trust !! (I wont say more)

BUT if the trouble is that the more involve clans cant find any cbs or not anouth cbs, can i propose to do like in football or other sports some "Divisions". where some clans very "pros" will fight in "division one" lets say 6 clans maybe

And some "Division one" wannabies in "division two" will try to be the first 2 in there ladder so they can go up to "division one" and the last 2 clans from "DIV 1" will drop to "DIV2"

Only DIV 1 will do a super final and DIV 2 will get only ladders

maybe a roocky DIV 3 could be there to avoid the problem of some "one season clans" that just make trouble and desapear!! in banning or disbanding but had anouth time to make trouble or flames

DIV 2 will not have limit of clans

DIV 2 will have easier rules maybe less conservative or oppresives

ANd div 1 will have more accuarate ROE (rules of Egagements) like number of cbs that u must do with each clans on ur division and if u dont do all requierments u will be in certain way droped down DIV 2
more of this kind of rules could be usefull to make DIV 1 "the Formula 1" of the clans

u will get very top clans AT THE TOP and some less structured or motivated clans under!!, i like to be under my wife say to me all the time !!! ;-)

the community is not big enough at all for splitting the already small ladders into even smaller ones. it'd kill the activity completely cause every clan would have even less clans to cb.

lol, don't take the number of signed up GameRanger accounts. maybe a 100th of them are regularly online... and even less than that play games that *DAMN offers ladders for.

but i said only 6 clans on the top division thats not alot and so u will have a full division

then division 2  will be maybe 4 or 6 or i hope 15 anyway it wont be a probleme if DIV 2 is not really full cause its clans that are not very active or not very pros in there trainning so u dont need them in ur division then if in this group one or 2 are more concern then this guys at the end of the season will go up in DIV 1

Anyway i dont have all aanswers and this if active one day must be thought more precisely, but for the moment plz civic think more about it u'll see some interest in it :

1/ u'll have to fight people with same interest

2/ u'll have more motivate clans cause they fight among people with same interests

3/ u can make simple rules for easy divisions and complicate rules for top division

4/ it will push some clans to fight and train so they can bring there clans to a greater division

5/ u wont have to find some tricks in rules (like sheeps or fat sheeps) to have better rank clans fight only or mostly same ranked clans

A touch of the topic title, but rather than what clans, id like to say what server i miss playing on....

Buccaneers, 36 player Siege games with 3 Spawns. Those games were crazy, yes there was some spawn kiliing, yes that happens in Siege, but at the same time it was like full out war - when you have 36 guys going at it you've got some pretty impressive gun battles!!! :D

Ghost, say they do put this division idea into effect, is it possible to go up in divisions? like the same way they do in other sports. and again if so, would you be bumped down by new divisions coming in? It wouldn't be hard if you follow the natural idea of other sports leagues. it sounds more interesting, however, it would only work on ghr ladders, there's not enough clans for the others for it to work.

OMG!  I am trying to find the thread (it might have been in the brief time i was an admin) where I proposed the very same thing.


I had the idea where there are two leagues.... an elite league and a novice league.  The gist of it was that the last two in the elite lag would drop down to the novice league and the top two from the novice league would gain elite status.  You would get x amount of points for beating an elite team and x amount for beating a novice team.

This was all before the sheep system.

whatever.

Than again, I had also proposed a more open admin system where leaders of clans that were in the DBl for more than 2 seasons would be place on a panel to decide issues with admins collectively.

just thoughts.

I nether talked about elit and novice nether !!!!! thats not a good idea, cause u can have highly trained clans or players in Division 2 but clans that are not really compiting this or that season so they went back to div 2, and DIV 2 can nether play Vs DIV 1

DIV 2 play Vs DIV 2 and if in the first 2 at the end of season they can go up DIV1 to fight the more motivated or skilled or trained ones (what ever u wana see in DIV1)

we could also imagine that DIV 1 can be started with the top 6 clans of this season !! or next one

It would be good if all the clans could get on at a certain time to do cbs, especially for rvs since there aren't many rvser's at the same time *sigh*
Maybe we could set certain days to do cbing, so people could adjust their scheduals more accordingly so they would know which days they need to get on for cbs instead of them be randomly any time during the week. But make it more than one day cause some people might not be able to make it one of those days. I wonder if it would be possible to do that...

But there are many complications with that too. Work, timezones, girlfriends, studies. ect.

It's been thought of, but unfortunatly not an option. What could change all this, is if we had a scoresystem, where the losing clan didn't lose points. Right now, many clans are afraid of playing the best, because they want to keep their sheep(yeah, i've used that excuse against one clan too).

The point of the sheep is that you can bet a low amount of sheep so you can always play and don't have to be afraid of losing a lot, isn't it. The FyS will even reduce this again in the coming season for the RvS team ladder.

If you don't lose anything - you have the same problem as in the preseason 2001. Mass dominates all.

Core, Season 5 set up
NBK, season 5 set up       (A new GhRa vs NBK show down would be cool, eh stripes?)

I think the biggest problem with us this season is that most of us have full time jobs and we've all been pretty much swamped with work this season.  Normally we are a very active clan, just lately we've had to put work...and family...first.  Hopefully things will calm down a bit for some of us in the near future and we can get back to the carnage at hand.

And of course I'm always up for an FFA...just ask.  ;)

Pun, there is no reason to leave the DBL over the actions of one over zealous clan. That is between you and the clan, not between you and the bl. No matter where you go, some people will take it too seriously, and piss you off. Grow up and deal with it.

More on topic, I'm not sure why, but it seems like you are trying to piss me off. Not only were your replies completely off topic, they were blatant flaming, and you double posted them. Keep it up and I will see to it that you lose your posting priviledges.

I'm surprised that you haven't made that clear to the other people in this thread who are singling out particular clans and its members, it pisses me off that you have no respect to my comments just because I'm not one of the people that comes on here and post responses everyday like some people do.  I've seen worse comments in this thread than what I posted but you wouln't let mine ever see the light.

Punisher, did you read the title of this thread? The point of the thread was to challenge clans. Every single post in this thread that was out of line was taken care of by BFG or I. I took issue with your post because instead of challenging someone, you blatantly flamed them, and aired a private clan issue in the public bl forum, your post in this thread was closer to the topic than the post in the other thread, but still not constructive, and not on topic. Not only did you do that, but you double posted it.

The reason I deleted yours, is because I don't want further flaming, and even if I re-posted it to show what you said, it would just continue to cause bad blood. You got an issue with them, take it up with them. It doesn't seem like this concerns this bl, only the two clans involved, as no rules were broken.

I understand you have commitments, I have commitments also, I'm a college student without a lot of time on my hands. I didn't delete your post because you dont come around here much, I deleted it because it was off topic flaming. I would do the same for Typhy, Myst, civic, anyone who has been around for years.
