Po)| server is getting flooded with noobs and washed up with lag. Therefore from this great date of January 20th 2005, Po)| server will Issue an anti-noob password.

The password to the Po)| server is simple....

just hit the space bar three times, and ur in :)


Oh and  if anyone see that the server is not on GR please send an e-mail to greysong5@mac.com with the subject and content as restart

Sounds fair enough to me... I also saw that your server has lag every now and then, but it hasn't been unplayable.

Proof, I'm sure there will be quite a few good/well known players that don't necessarily check this forum or any other forum you announce this on, that will fall through the cracks. I call this descrimination anyway and I'm glad to see some people are supporting the noobs.........or not  >:( Although if a noob does check this forum and doesn't know how to hit their space bar 3 times, then he/she does have serious problems. I don't know how else you can keep your server noobless and lag free, but if most of the community accepts them, why can't you? We all learn and grow from eachother imo.

btw Dedicated Server = some lag  ::)

I'm not worried about the noobs at all, the 56kers are the ones that bother me in dedicated servers. Anytime the Po server is very active with people I see most the room is skilled GhR players anyway. (usually)

In RvS noobs can stop games by not knowing how to ready up or even change teams. It can get annoying but... err visit my server when up for more info.  :-X

Why dont u just set your server's GR account to buddies only? And add everyones name to your buddy list that usually plays on your server.  ::)

um hmm  lets sum it up....  A G5  with 4 megabytes cable... hmmm I dont see where lag could fit in...

The problem with lag comes form others who dont have good connections joining the room and lagging all of us...

Normally Id run a Ping restriction application for it so it can auto kick pings above 200 But those apps are hard to come by.. :(

Also I tried putting a GR password on it and It doesnt go dedicated anymore.. =/

80 don't me discouraged, people still yell lag on my G5 5 mbit cable. They can't seem to grasp that their computers and connection could be the problem.

For those of you that don;t use GR, get it or explain why you use a site with a community based on GR.

you can't IP-join gamerooms on GameRanger since a while, fortunately.

This site is based on GR. Check CB requirements. Check Clan history on DAMN.

Sounds a little harsh... you make it sound like noobs are criminals.I don't see any REAL reason to find all the noobs on GameRanger and block them from joining the server.

Even though noobs may TK and hide in the hills all campey-like, who can argus that they make excellent bullet fodder?

1. Everyone is a 'newboy' at somepoint in time - we all have to learn to play these games and there is a differnce bewween 'noobs' and guys that just like to camp in one spot! give people a break!
2. for games etc *Damn currently requires that all games are played through the gameranger client - its makes everyones lives a lot easier.

The only new GR users (noob's) that piss me off are the one's that cause problems in the main chat with spamming etc, and thats why i hang out in the bunker now.

Ghostsniper, it obvious the reason you are continuously and unintelligently insulting, is because My experience in Iraq with the US Army threatens your cakewalk military experience in  a non -combat zone.

Iraq is the biggest war our country has seen in since Vietnam, and I was all over it.   That obviously threatens you, and any presumed validity you had before I became active on these forums.   I knew what I was getting into when I went to Iraq, I knew it was a BS situation based on misinformation fed to the public.  Being there, exposed me to several other 'conspiracies' that our public is unaware of.

Actually my being banned from GameRanger is from a patch I wore in RvS, being an Army grunt you are not capable of interpreting.  It was an Israeli flag with  a red line through it, one of the conspiracies which disturbed me the most.   And the reason I wore that patch is because I was protesting the influence the Israelis have over my Country and military and the Amount of tax payer dollars we throw away to support the Israelis.

You use that term brainwashed quite a bit.  That is a big word for you.   Would you care to define it?  There is a test for brainwashing it has to do with how broad your access to information is.   To be honest, you would probably not pass the test.
