*DAMN R6 Forum

I just finished Call of Duty United Offensive. Very nice expansion pack, damn this first mission was by far the most difficult one. The only really annoying thing was that on some maps the enemies had infinite respawn you saw them coming always the same path, a bit boring and distracting from the good overall experience.

In the coming days I'm very busy at university but Elandrion made me a nice christmas gift: Athena Sword and XIII...

Not quite sure if only Mac games count, but in about 3-4 days, I will be rocking Resident Evil 4 for my GameCube & The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap on my DS.

As for Mac games, I've pretty much given up. At least until I get a new one. (If ever)

XIII.. that game is SO good.. I LOVE it... Can't wait for the sequel..

XIII surprised me after the reviews were fairly negative.

Anyway, right now I'm playing Sprung (and soon Feel The Magic XX/XY) for DS and then DDR for PS2, though I've been playing it for two years. I can't really say I have a favorite at the moment though. Been an off year for video games, though Katamari Damacy is supposed to be cool and innovative.

I'm basically the same as GS here, AA is my faveorite game but since the update doesn't seem to be coming out soon I've stopped playing for the time being. So as of right now my faveorite game is Ghost Recon.

Im with GS and Krush. Since I have a PC I have been an AA 2.2.1 whore as of late and joined a PC clan. Broke my cherry the other day and had my very first PC clan battle. Ive also been playing alot of Halflife2 single player...amazing graphics.

Since groo (groo i love you) pointed out that you can change your gamma settings ( ::wall:: ) i can now actually see people in RvS and AS and im rather loving it ;)

GhR still has that warm fuzzy spot for me though ;) 

Really enjoyed the SP missions of CoD and CoD UT ... and SplinterCell was a good laugh - some beautiful lighting and shadows in that game - really atmospheric at times!

Ghost Recon on the shooter side... and Rise Of Nations on the strategical. :)

What would the sequel to XIII be? XIV? XIII 2?

13 2...aka...15?  Are they even saying theyre going to make a 2nd one? Or were you just speculating?

I agree, the CoD (and UO) SP missions were very fun and well done.  The Russian missions, particularly the later ones in Stalingrad agrivated me, (read: when you're defending the apartment from a German counter-attack)  it was -way- too much like Unreal Tournement, or Quake, just running around shooting everything, grabbing health packs on the fly so you dont die, etc.  Fun, but just not in keeping with the game, and definately not even close to how things would really go down in that situation.  1 Russian squad or platoon, vs about 50-60 Germans, backed up by at least 5 tanks?  ::hmm:

Somehow I doubt they'll make a sequel to XIII, I don't remember hearing that it was selling well. Just like another UbiSoft gem (game of the year 2003) Beyond Good & Evil which had a sequel tease and all...but because not enough people bought it I shall just have to keep playing the original  :(

Yeah i didn't half feel like a right old Turnip when i changed it and suddenly everything was so damn clear... its no wonder i spent so long running around like a mole wondering how people shot me when i couldn't see a damn thing....

Definatly agree with the CoD missions... Allthough i did love the final United Offensive mission as you fight through the city - just the rail depot was a bit freaking crazy on hard... bloody planes ;)

Looking forward to seeing "first to fight" - as long as its not two heavily yankified.... but im gonna be missing seeing HL2 and GhR2 and Halo2 this year :(

I'd be really disapointed if they don't create a sequel to XIII.. It ends in the middle of the story and I wanna know what's going to happen  ???

If it comes out it wouldn't be called XIV or 15 or something.. I think just XIII 2..

Probably Rise of Nations, I just love the gameplay of it. Kinda like a real time Civ2.. ish

Rise of Nations is my best strategy game, that is until Age of Empires 3 comes out . . . that game looks absolutely amazing and I have a feeling it'll be my new fave. game.

Well, by far I would have to say it is still RS  ;D.  But since my G4 mother board took a dump and playing it in classic blows, I'm stickin with GhR and AA and RvS in a distant third...Till i get AS, then I'll come back and let ya know  ;)

I am with GS and the peanut gallery on this. My favorite game is AA, but since there hasnt been any update, fuck it!

As of now I play CoD UO for multiplayer. It is real fun to screw around with enemy tanks and place a nice bazooka up their asses.

Halo 2 is my fave all-platform game, But ghr is still my fave GR game (mainly because Im still a G3 iBook Noob)

Havent played H2 much myself, but  I have stepped in on a few MP games and the like, and seen SP played a bit, and i have one thing to say: The cutscenes -suck-.  Items were popping in and out of the very center of the screen at random, and two of the worst cases were where the Chief is coasting through space with the Covenant bomb, Covey' drop-pods, or whatever, simply appear and dissapear. 

Second big cutscene mistake was in the intro to I believe New Mambosa, two snipers advise that it is a hot LZ and to abort the mission.  Except when they start talking, they arent there, it's just a bit of blank concrete, and finally about a second into the animation, they pop up. 

First impressions just from watching: Very dissapointed, this is what Bungie gets for working under Microsuck, they get pushed so hard to make something, and these ugly, glaring accidents show up and detract from the game.

Though if or when it comes out for the Mac i will surely buy it.  Just because.   :D

Half Life 2 is by far the best game out right now.

The pyshics involved with HL2 is never been matched before. The ENTIRE environment can move, and moves realistically. Trucks and vehicles whip around just like as if you were sitting inside of one. You can pick anything up. The graphics is the best I've ever seen and suprisingly it runs smooth! Also the aiming is crisp and smooth. The story line is awesome, and theres things in HL2 ive never seen another game do. By far best game I've ever played.

Not to mention it comes with Counter Strike Source, which is also real fun. Its pretty much the same cs gameplay with improved graphics and the same HL2 engine including pyshics. Its insane. ::applause::
