My G4 died quietly. So, my new PC is doing me just fine for now. When Ghost 2 comes to mac, I'll be back with a G6 or something.

My G4's motherboard died about two monthes ago.

If you remember, I've had a series of shit like this happen to my macs over the last few years. I got tired of the things breaking, so when my 2001 G4 died I said fuck it, and didn't fix it.

I had a 2002 iBook have the mb fry three times.  I got a free new iBook G4 from Apple. Then that iBook's mb fried, as well as the hard drvie and airport card. THEN my fucking 2001 G4 desktop fried.  It was time for a big fuck you to Apple.

Now,  I still use the iBook cause it's a fanatastic computer (as long as the mb don't fry again).  I play Hearts of Iron on the iBook all the time, as well as Wolfenstien.  I haven't turned the Ghost's cd into a disk image yet, so no GhR for now.  But mostly I use the iBook for work. My office is all on macs, partially due to my inistance on it, and my family, my girlfriend, and several of my friends all use macs because of my repeated insistance they do so.


In any event, I bought the PC as a protest. I even spoke at length with Apple's customer care people, laid out why I was buying it, and told them I would be back when they got their quality control under control. They sent me a free iBook battery... but for the wrong fucking model iBook. I was not impressed.

So fuck Apple for now.

But I'll be back...

I've grow to really like Kerry.  He's everything we need in a leader -- responsible, a life of service, brave, a veteran of Vietnam. He's a leader on bi-partisan issues and a close friend of John McCain's. The dude is good.

He was my second or third pick during the nominations. I loved Dean's fire, but when he burned out it was either Edwards or Kerry.  And Kerry has the chops to be Pres, Ed needs few more years.  Eight years from now, I'll be voting for Ed.
