Very nice....I'll copy and paste....

The Pantheon Of The Left
By Bruce Walker (07/24/03)

As I noted in ?Sacrifices to Baal? the Left worships a pagan god which demands abortion as a form of infant sacrifice. Baal, however, is only one of the dumb idols of the Left. The salient characteristic of Leftism is repudiation of a Blessed Creator of the universe.

Anti-faith in God leaves Leftists trapped in a universe limited in time by the brief candle of a single life, limited in cognition to the brain of a thinking ape, and limited in morality to personal caprice. But even anti-faith is faith. Everything man can grasp, he grasps by faith alone.

The Leftist does not conform his faith to the transcendent purposes of a Divine Maker, but rather to the faith of his own, small existence. This requires objects of faith - the pagan objects as flawed, dreadful and dreary as man without God.

Gaia, whose home we presumably inhabit, is the goddess of dirt. Her temples are recycling bins, which have long been known to be economically wasteful, in slavish devotion to her terrestrial purity. People are parasites to Gaia.

Belial is the god of lies. He whispers ?There is no truth but lies.? Leftists of all stripes lay betrayed principles at his shrine. In devotion to him, Leftists reminded us when Bill Clinton was performing his rites of mendacity, that ?Everyone lies.?

Athena protects the muses, and muses make beauty, but The Birth of a Nation and Triumphant of the Will are as beautiful to Athena as is The Song of Music. Art serves evil as well it serves goodness.

Apollo, at whose graven image secular scientists pray, magnifies the power of evil which used without a Living God. Science fiction is a dreary description of Hell in different forms. Man, without God, cannot conceive of anything truly good.

Socialists proclaim ?Mammon is Great!? but an industrialized world with more creature comforts that we can sensibly enjoy is the Hell of a carnival that never ends: life without moral purpose is infinite boredom.

Moloch is the prince of violence which Leftists like the Maximum Leader, the Fuhrer, the Vozd or and the Dear Leader placate by sacrifices of blood, pain, fear and death. The death camps, the killing fields and the Gulags moan for more millions and Moloch?s followers hunt down other souls for this ghastly purpose.

Hygeia is the god of health, but the worship of health does not stop death, but only slows it down. Except for suicides, we all die when and how the Lord wishes. The Nazis were not just health conscious, but they were genuinely healthy. That false god failed too.

Every rebellion against the Living God produces a minor deity of sin and depravity, because every forceful separation from the Blessed Creator of the Universe is an intentional step in the direction of sin and depravity. That is why Leftists particularly gloat about ?hypocrisy? - imperfection, which they yelp is our insistence upon transcendent values.

What we know - what Leftists reject - is that these values do not come from us. Transcendent values come from the Almighty. The long and precious thread of Judeo-Christian faith is filled with sin, but also with repentance. Good Friday and Yom Kippur are annual reflections of our imperfections.

But from Good Friday comes Easter, from Yom Kippur comes the comfort of Torah. Our God cares and He allows us to know that care, and that He rules the universe. The thread of Judeo-Christian faith leads to life affirming doctrines: truth exists; values are real; life is sacred; man is not god; the universe is purposeful; it has a Blessed Creator.

This Holy Lord is the ruler of all life and all creation. We are his creatures, and are elevated only by His Will, not our accomplishments. What are these accomplishments anyway? What is our wealth, our health, our loves, our wisdom? The Tanakh says ?Vanity, vanity, all is vanity? and ?There is nothing knew under the sun? and the Gospel speaks of a ?Pearl of great worth? for which wise men give all.

It is not coincidence that America, the only nation ever created as a sanctuary for pious Christians, and Israel, the ancient promised land of Jews, are nations loathed beyond reason by the world. It is not an accident that those who worship Gaia or Mammon or Belial within those nations even hate their own homelands - though they always choose to live within the peace and justice of these God-fearing lands.

And it is not odd that these two nations - armed only with the truth of our Maker - prevail easily against all the furies of false gods, whose priests are as helpless against the power of the Holy One as the priests of Baal were against Elijah.

I don't get it.

On a related topic, did you realize that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th...he was born in the spring but Christmas took the date of a pagan holiday to help convert pagans to Christianity. The Easter weekend bears no relation to the date of the crucifixtion and reserection...it is another adopted pagan holiday time. Most of the symbols of Christianity are adopted from pagan practice as well. Drawing a distinction from Judeo-Christian and pagan beliefs is somewhat worthless due to how much pagan beliefs have influenced Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Yes, just as the Sabboth is not Sunday, but is really Saturday.  Unfortunately, the traditions of the Catholic church screwed up most of our holidays for us....but that's okay, it's the thought that counts.

Actualy. In Some Parts of Christianity Jesus's B-Day is thought to be sept 11 (this was thought b4 the WTC attack). And another one io have heard is Sept 22.

The bio was the best part (and not just because of the bad grammar):

Quote
Bruce Walker has been a dyed in the wool conservative since, as a sixth grader, he campaigned door to door for Barry Goldwater. Bruce has had almost two hundred published articles have appeared several professional and political periodicals.

There are too many ridiculous factual inaccuracies to point out here, but you really have to pause at this one:

Quote
Leftists like the Maximum Leader, the Fuhrer, the Vozd or and the Dear Leader
El Jefe Maximo, Der F?hrer...One Communist, the other Fascist...Castro's not so bad, and Hitler wasn't exactly leftist...I have no clue who the other two are.
