Granted, not Hockey, but Box (indoor) lacrosse, the playing field is identical to that of Hockey...so, kinda close, right? Plus its just as, if not more, violent. ...or in Europe. But I would rather watch a basketball game than a soccer game, and I despise watching basketball... Yes, the NFL is great, but I can't wait a full week between games. Yes, the MLB Playoffs are the greatest sporting event of the year (better than the Olympics, even), but they end in October. I guess my problem is that the NBA season is WAY TOO LONG, and goes well past the Superbowl. But during the bulk of the winter, during the week, I need my hockey... Baseball playoffs are great, Footballs great, but to much time in between games.
