Title: FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BTs_eight on September 10, 2004, 06:03:07 pm Hey I was wondering what was going on with match #2918...
Voodoo still hasn't confirmed. In fact i believe he rejected the cb. He joined the match, didn't ask for a lagtest. Which the rules don't state you can ask for one, but he didn't anyways. He clicked ready and then leaves within 2 minutes of the match starting. Ends up scoring 5th (not last place) in the first map. Now he is saying he left because it was too laggy.... I'm kinda new to this FFA but, doesn't he get last place on all the maps he missed out? so basically last place 3 times? I hope some rules don't get change or acceptions are made once again.... ACCEPT YOUR FATE VOODOO! Just like the red sox... OHHH so close... but NO SOUP FOR YOU! Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BTs_GhostSniper on September 10, 2004, 06:13:57 pm I'm not posting as an admin (mainly because, well, I'm not an admin), but I do know the FFA rules like they were tattooed to my arm (which they are). In this case, VooDoo would get last place in any map that he missed, because he started the match. So, he gets whatever place he came in on the first map, and last place for the last 3 maps. He would have had to say something before the match started if he wanted a lag test (by the way, when someone asks for a lag test in an FFA match, I give it to them...even though it isn't required). But if he didn't even ask for a lag test, then he really has no leg to stand on in this situation.
Hope that helps, -GhostSniper Out. Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: .vooDoo. on September 10, 2004, 07:47:13 pm Unlike some people Ill except any decision made by the BL admins and not whine about it.
Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BTs_eight on September 10, 2004, 08:09:49 pm Unlike some people... we like to follow the rules... If you too was following the rules then this thread wouldn't exist.
For an ex admin you sure don't know much..... I rejected a ghr ffa match today because I left after 30 seconds of play do to unplayable lag. My name was still put into the match so I rejected it. Im not sure of the rules but I shouldnt have to approve a match that I couldnt even play in. The decision is in Admin hands now. Also, maybe someone can explain to me why the GL is banned from ffa matches but allow that grenade launcher? Maybe some day the DBL might get more then a handful of admins and staff members that actually have a clue as to whats going on with the league they are staffed at? Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: Fusion on September 10, 2004, 08:25:24 pm Voo.. Dont get personal man. Rules are rules... We try and follow them..
Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: .vooDoo. on September 10, 2004, 08:41:16 pm above 2 posts proves my point.
Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BTs_eight on September 10, 2004, 09:38:45 pm what, that your slow? Sure looks like it...
I mean cmon man your arguing about this match when u already know the rules and you get 0 points... I mean when you stay and play you still get the same amount of points... http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/clanladder/index.php?module=showcb_pvp&cbID=2925 (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/clanladder/index.php?module=showcb_pvp&cbID=2925) So who is the whiner?... ACCEPT THE LOSS AN STFU... while your at it... go read the rules... Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: .vooDoo. on September 10, 2004, 09:54:53 pm lmao, proven again.... keep proving my point, i can get use to this. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. :o
Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BFG on September 10, 2004, 11:57:21 pm Why must you always look to start flames and complaints? We're well aware of the situation, there is no need to dig up flames between the same old people over the same stupid issues. We know what the issue was and are perfectly capable of sorting it out without this petty bitching. Give it a break, final warning.
Regarding the FFA Match, the CB will be confirmed, voodoo if you would like a explaination of why please feel free to ask. thanks. Quote Maybe some day the DBL might get more then a handful of admins and staff members that actually have a clue as to whats going on with the league they are staffed at? If you have a complaint about my actions/ behavior or another member of staff of the BL Eight then feel free to go and register it in the relevant forum suplied by mauti. Its good to see you appreciate the time we dedicate to this and the hassle we take for trying to help keep things in order and running smoothly on the BL. thankyou. BFG Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: Fusion on September 11, 2004, 12:57:44 am Thank you BFG... We do appreciate you. Very much. I keep getting flamed on GR about trying to follow rules.. It can be a little frustrating when people come and play cbs and ffa without reading the rules. Then people get upset for us trying to follow the rules. Do remember people, WE ARE SUBJECT TO THE RULES ASWELL. Anyway BFG, I hope you continue to be as helpful in upholding integrity in the BL this season. You are doing a great Job. You have been right there to answer questions and clear up issues. I hope we can be a help to you guys this season.
As you see BTs is one of the most active clans in the BL . We will start cbing in GhR as soon as the ladder is fixed and Possibly some of the other ladders. Thanks again BFG for being a stand up guy... BTs_Fusion\\....... P.S. If your going to participate in the DBL, Then please read the rules...... They are there for a reason..... Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BFG on September 11, 2004, 01:01:24 am ... sorry if i was blunt there guys i don't mean to be grumpy ;)
I understand it gets frustrating, many things do, but it was under control, honest ;) Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: .vooDoo. on September 11, 2004, 01:07:14 am Ok BFG. No need to explain. I understand. All I wanted was a BL ruling on this and thats what I got. I just find it funny that I get flamed, sworn at and all sorts of BS just for asking for a BL ruling. The rejection button is there for a reason. If someone feels as though something isnt right...use it. Thats what I did, and the flaming began....
Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BTs_eight on September 12, 2004, 08:56:51 am Hey man... I asked Vood's about it in a room... he jumps all over my ass... and yes i learned a valuable lesson from the past... TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF EVERYTHING>>>!
I asked him cause it had something to do with me.... I wanted those points sooner then later... and when ia sked him about it.. he gets his panties in a bunch... Which tends to provoke me. So basically I made it public because I wanted to make sure nothing shady happeneds... I'm sorry but you can't blame me... shit has happened. I am sorry about my admin and staff comment. But i believe that some of you out there are clueless, yet know the higher beings which mean, in the past votes have swayed there way.... And by some of you I mean Voodoo as one... Civ, Ara, Flies, Harvey, BFG.... your doing an excellent job an i appreciate what you guys are doing this season. AGAIN... When asked... I was told the fuck off... I got the SS to proove it bro... an a room of about 3 other people. So now who seems silly? The poor soul who didn't know the rules? AND then acted like a flaming asshole red sock?..... GO METS! GO YANKEES! Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: .vooDoo. on September 13, 2004, 05:33:33 pm and continues along with lies. nuff said, im out.
Title: Re:FFA MATCH #2918 Post by: BFG on September 13, 2004, 05:37:49 pm Ok Sorry but this is getting locked. End of discussion.
Title: Sorry but this is a reply to Voodoo Post by: BTs_eight on September 13, 2004, 05:41:17 pm Now, now....
Let me get this straight voodoo... You was an admin correct? Being an ex admin, shouldn't you know the rules at hand? If you knew the rules before trying to reject this FFA match then you would of done 1 of 2 things.... A. Continue playing the FFA match B. Leave the FFA match and confirm the losses... Exhibit A shows voodoo being asked about it and then jumping to a quick "fuck off" Now... after all is said and done... Who lied? I sure as hell didn't, and you look like a greater jackoff in the end.... "with much love" at the end. ;) lol Title: Re:Sorry but this is a reply to Voodoo Post by: BFG on September 13, 2004, 05:50:56 pm I didn't lock the other thread for the fun of it. Im getting tired of this.
The FFA wasn't rejected, it was simply refered to the Admins pending voodoos inquirey about the status of lag/ lag tests and leaving the game etc. IF players are in doubt over somthing they may refer to an admin for advice etc. Although obviously it would be helpfull if they were clear on the rules there was no problem withe FFA being delayed temperarily while voodoo checked with us on the status given the ammount of lag. because of the lack of lag test and the current rules it was confirmed. However i do not see why it was such a big issue that needs to be blown out of comparison If people can make as much effort as possible to be clear on the rules it saves me and others a lot of stress and time - and makes for a more enjoyable experience. However if you do need advice or want to refer a game to the Admins you request it pending BL approval. As far as im concerned Voodoo made no fuss about this, simply ased what the situation was in the Dropbox and waited for a responce. the decision was quick and simple because of the rules and he had no qualms with that. All that screen shot tells me was that executor asked for a Lag test and that voodoo wanted to wait to hear from an Admin. Enough. Title: Re:Sorry but this is a reply to Voodoo Post by: BTs_eight on September 13, 2004, 05:55:02 pm Tell me if i am wrong BFG...
According to my screenshot... Isn't that what i tried to do with Voodoo? I wasnt being mean, I was trying to tell him the rules... then i get the Fuck off comment..... Executor hosted the match and he asked everyone if they need a lagtest... and of course Voodoo either missed it... or decided he didn't need one. I blew it out of the water because from the rest of that chat it seemed like voodoo was gonna get away with his stupidity. Which is a no no no in our eyes... And i would of stopped posting about it if i saw it was locked... but i already wrote out and setup the screenshot while u was locking it... Basically my point is: READ THE RULES BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN ANY LADDERS!!!! Title: Re:Sorry but this is a reply to Voodoo Post by: BFG on September 13, 2004, 05:59:59 pm Yes u did, but he wanted to speak to an admin and not you - hence the sharp reply i suspect.
Ah - that explains the executor comment ty. Not knowing all the rules from cover to cover is not what i call stupidity - although we expected him and others to know the situation i had (and i think the same can be said with the others) no objection to quickly answering his enqiry and confirming the ffa. As far as we are concerned nobody is "getting away" with anything... Sure, no problem. i'll merge these and let it die. thanks BFG |
