Title: Help! Whats the difference, ATI 9800PRO mac edition or special edition! Post by: BFG on September 06, 2004, 07:03:43 pm OK ive had enough. I need a new graphics card. I remember harvey ( i think ) asking /talking about this a while back but i can't find the thread or remember what was said.
So i am going to splash out, oh yes on the daddy Radeo ATI 9800PRO Card... Now What im slightly confused by (seconds before i click the 'order' button) is is there any difference between the following: RADION ATI 9800PRO MAC EDITION RADION ATI 9800PRO MAC SPECIAL EDITION Help! The ATI site is about as helpfull as a dog humping my chair leg and its bad enough that i can save about $150 by just buying it in the US and shipping it to the UK! so um.. Help?! Title: Re:Help! Just noticed... Normal mac edition has 128MB ....Special mac edition has 256MB (says the card can go in any G4 AGPx2 or x4 Slot! :) so now i got to decide... Title: Re:Help! Special edition is G5 only. (256) Standard edition is G4 Happy. (128) In the confusion i just cancelled my order. Retard. i'll go shut up now and get some much needed sleep! |
