So...now the "Make RS Open Source" thread is not locked, nor being ignored, it has simply been killed?

No move notice...no nothing...and very definately no reason?  Im not trying to piss anybody off, but arent all the GG mods all hardcore RS vets, who love the game?  Wouldnt you expect the mods would support even the slightest hope of RS being made open source?

I thought that the only active mod was voods, and yet he's been in favor of it all alone. Wtf is going on here? The GG mods are going squirlly on us...

i'm telling you, we should just do it ourselves illegally. there's mac rs players who can decompile it and make it work. no one would ever know, we'll just distribute the patch secretly amongst ourselves.

Indeed it is ridiculous. The only mod not to reply to me is Ace. I cant really see why Ace would do something like this so we will keep an open mind...right? The only other answer Sin, Brain, Loudnotes, and myself have come to is that Mauti may have mistakenly given someone else Admin rights. We hope to resolve this when he gets home on the 20th sometime. As for the thread, I cant find it anywhere, so someone has completly deleted a 6 page thread fromt he database, which is definate cause for expulsion if it is indeed a mod.

how is my idea bad? i know it's illegal, but we already payed for the game, i don't see why we can't continue to play it. it's not making any more money for them, and that petition isn't going anywhere. they probably wouldn't even care, what the hell are they gonna do anyway, stop everyone from using it? damn right, xoclipse it.

bronto this will turn out worse than that RS expansion pack illegal port.

they only had it brought to their attention because
a) it was advertised on this site and on gameranger
b) it was only made for PC

this is different, we already have the gameranger plugins, and it's already for mac. if whoever does it just leaves their name out of it, then how would they even do anything about it? you can't stop people from playing the game they purchased.

Just the like Athena Sword mac conversion I'm against it until it is official. That way you don't ruin our chances of a legal (Supported by GR) one.

Then if that would be the problem, I should suggest that you reconsider your passwords, maybe talk to PlanetR6. Or just update the forum software til something better. An example is phpbb.

Mods have an insane job infront of them trying to keep the peace of the forums. That is why they make crappy decisions at times because of the overload in their brain. Civic seems to remind me of all those developers of Teamspeak, saying nothing positive just everything negative. If Macsoft got the hint and patched this game up for OSX they could make nice money but who knows.

Rebel calm down. If one admin is going to be a asshole don't make them sound like some sort of insane freak-squad. This forum should keep logs of who does what.
