Well, as some (few) of you know, I'm gonna be getting myself an apartment next month, and I don't think I'll have the internet. We'll see. Anyways! I was gonna post this a lot later, but with the way things have been on the forum, I want to post it before the shit hits the fan. I wanted to give a proper goodbye to everyone, and thank all the sexy sexies who've made this forum fun and/or tolerable over the years.  ;D First and foremost, I want to thank the always sexiful Mautner. Sure, he might not be as active as he used to, but he's still our Mauti, and you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you. His fiery head of hair and sexy bike riding is an inspiration to us all. Don't know about Orlando, but in LA you can get a cable TV/cable internet combo package for something like $50 a month (if you have 50 bucks you can spare a month). If not, sign up for that NetZero crap being advertised on TV...something like 10 bucks a month.

i have a better idea: steal cable. basic cable channels come through your broadband cable. so what you do is, split the broadband cable, one to the modem, one to a tv tuner or your video card if it has a video in thing. then you use a software descrambler to descramble analog signals (these are for pc and linux that i know of, so you might have to use VPC, but maybe you could find one for mac). the software descrambler will give you every analog channel that your cable company offers (some cable companys have gone all digital i think). if you want me to look up your cable company to see what analog channels they offer, i can do that easily. i can give you all the rest of the details if you want too. basically, you can get free cable and internet access for only the price of internet access. yay.

Oh, you're in Orlando?  I'm heading to college next month (Full Sail), and gonna be living in Winter Park, which is kinda just outside of Orlando.  Coolness.  Er, hotness, actually (I currently live in upstate New York).

Ah, cool! I live in Longwood right now, which isn't very far from Winter Park at all. Full Sail has some badass programs. What are ya going to be studying there?

I'm goin' into the Game Design & Development program (21 months for a Bachelor of Science Degree) ? very excited, can't wait!  My brother graduated a year early, so we're actually both going at the same time (he's going for Computer Animation and for Film).  Got a nice little apartment around the corner from the school (called Whisper Lake).  Classes start near the end of August.

I agree.....but don't ever forget that AOL supported the Mac first.  When AOL was first released, it was Mac-ONLY.  Which is one of the reasons they have never stopped supporting the Mac.   ;D
