Does anyone know where I can find kit restrictions that would make all the weapons use iron sights?  I've been looking for some mods like that but can't find any.

umm... what do you mean with "Iron Sights"?

never heard of such a kit restriction and don't know if it's possible at all.

You can make a mod that removes the zoom from the guns

Go to:
Ghost Recon - Desert Siege/ Ghost Recon Data/ Mods/ (Origmiss)/ Equip/ then edit the .gun files

change the line(s) that say eg: (oicw)

<ZoomSettings>
      <Zoom>1</Zoom>
      <Zoom>5</Zoom>

to

<ZoomSettings>
      <Zoom>1</Zoom>
      <Zoom>1</Zoom>


Then save the edited file as a new file.. . Then erhm.. . never acctually made a mod myself so this is as long as i know  :) But i think you need to make a new .kit file and link the "new guns" you made to that kit.

You however not add iron sights to the game as in a 1st person weapon.

Yeah, I figured I'd have to do that.  I could've sworn I saw a mod like that though...

     I put an Iron Sights kit restriction in the |MP| Mod. It's not tough to do for multiplayer--just edit the gun files like Joka said. IIRC, if you create a new kit restriction for the zoomless guns, it won't work server-side. If you modify the original .gun files (back them up first, of course), and then host, everyone who joins will have iron sights.

I tihnk he might mean Iron sights ridicules, like the ones in AA. I have seen them for Ghr can't remember where though.

There is a WWII mod. all the guns have Iron sights - although the sniper has a tiny tiny zoom but its as close as u can get - standard rifleman etc have good old AA style WWII iron sights
