Apple announced today that it will be holding an iTunes Music Store Anniversary Conference Call this Wednesday, April 28 at 11:30 a.m. ET. Apple CEO Steve Jobs will update media and industry analysts on the iTunes Music Store one year after its launch

... What better opportunity than to use this as a spring board in announcing the iTunes Music store in Europe??  .... go on apple u know u want to.

Who knows? Maybe they will.

What sort of major updates do you think will occur?

There is no iTunes Music Store built into the iTunes program in Europe?  WTF??  That is so lame.

Not yet at least, I can't imagine Euros having to deal with only using CD's and downloading illegally.

I now only buy music of the iTMS(and put CD's on when I have them), it's so easy, and it supports the company we love.

I don't think Apple makes much money from the iTMs though...just a way for them to promote the iPod.

Eventually, all these damn illegal downloaders will buy music from the online stores, only then will those stores be making big profits.

You're right, Apple is only making a marginal profit if any off the store, but honest people who believe in buying music will buy it from the stores and they will want an iPod to hold their music on the go. So essentially the store is making money, just not directly.

Hold on, no we do have the music store software in itunes, like everyone with iTunes 4... I can go to the store this very second and browse though the selection of music. What i can't do (becasue i dont have  a US address) is actually buy any music... This is what apple is (hopfully now succesfully) working on - in makiing a deal with the record companys over here and sorting out the money side of things...
