Title: Buy a G5 or wait till next revision? Post by: "Sixhits" on April 22, 2004, 03:34:32 am Just a thought. I've been musing over buying anew G5. The thing is I think they are way overpriced and deliver too little for that price.
But is it worth waiting till the next revision, some time off I expect, or better to go with the G5 of today? Title: Re:Buy a G5 or wait till next revision? Post by: Cutter on April 22, 2004, 03:59:06 am i say wait. some new g5's should be comin out in a few months mb. then wait a little longer to see if the new models have any flaws or if they offer up a beefier model for close to the same price a month later. they fucked me and fah that way. and i'm sure plenty of others.

Those mofo's took me for a ride. I must say I loath apple and will have these feelings for a while. They are lucky I am a designer and need this damn platform, or I may have gone crazy and went to the dark PC side.

Yes, they got me too on that Dual 1.8 GHz for the price of a Single 1.8 GHz processor deal. And I bought mine just 14 days before the change! All in all, I would still say I got plenty of bang for my buck, though. I'll probably buy the fastest one when it comes out (hopefully soon!). Ghost, just trade the one you have in now before you buy it, and buy the rest of the faster G5.
