Failed my first college exam today thus ending my three years of success. :( I knew I was gonna screw up by getting dragged off to a party on Saturday. Least I got drunk, first time since New Years. :-X
Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: WardenMac on April 10, 2004, 07:25:41 am College...Parties..... :o...man the memories. My undergraduate scores were terrible, due to parties of course ;D....When I took the GRE for graduate school for acceptance for UT at Austin, the counselor asked if I slept through undergrad studies, seems my scores were a tad high for the GPA I earned for undergrad...I said, "No Mam, I didnt, I was drunk the entire four years" 8)...I understood her concern though, my GPA for undergard studies was like 2.3 ;D

Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: Rigid Ice on April 13, 2004, 01:06:56 am Wow, I haven't been around here in ages. LOL, after finally getting some really nice mods put together after years, and giving them to beta testers, I lost my webspace. So, that ended my mods.
I guess I started just in time to see the modding community leave. This was my first game I've ever modded, and learned a lot (especially from all the computer crashes ;)). Well, I'm a lot better now and I'm trying to maybe mod some other games. I've helped make a very simple game (did the graphics) and I'm looking at some games to possibly mod such as Kill Switch and the overrated HALO. Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: WardenMac on April 13, 2004, 03:37:57 am I just dled the Soldner mp demo, it has problems though. Imagine that. The one time I got to connect, it looked cool. Even had a manageable third person view. Finally got a wep, then it disconnected. Havent been able to join again >:(
Whisper would actually love the game, Im getting hooked the more I play it. Has a GR feel to it. Alot of bugs, and alot of TKing right now, as with all new demos. But I highly recommend it ;D Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: Suicide_Commando on April 13, 2004, 05:30:28 am I was playing the Joint Operations demo over at my friends today. I liked it. It's mainly run and gun but still a nice diversion.
Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: Rigid Ice on April 14, 2004, 12:07:51 am LOL, I'm on a modem and I can't even download some of the demos that are out today. I could run my computer early in the evening and go clear into the next days afternoon (all while blocking out any phone calls) and still not finish the download.
Sometimes the download would finish, but it would be missing anywhere from 20 to 100 megs of data (oops). Yea, my internet sucks and may get DSL (I currently download about 2.00-4.20KB per second. Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: WardenMac on April 14, 2004, 03:49:29 am I was playing the Joint Operations demo over at my friends today. I liked it. It's mainly run and gun but still a nice diversion. Hmmm....havent heard of it, Ill check it out. I was impressed with the terrain in Soldner, when you fire a rpg, and hit a bld, it actually shows damage to the building, etc...knocks down trees adn stuff, hehe. I tried it SC, I liked it. Really liked flying the choppers. It was fun. Ill be playing more often, worth the dl. Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: Suicide_Commando on April 14, 2004, 07:49:53 pm Yeah I thought it was pretty cool. I tried the Soldner demo at his house too but it was really buggy and we were expieriencing those disconnects too. So we kept on playing JO, taking turns. I'm gonna dl it tonight and see if I can play it on my 56K modem.

I played for about a hr tonight, had alot of fun. Soldner is somewhat better, found a decent server and played for a while. Keep getting killed. It has much more realistic feel than Joint Operations and its harder to kill people. More realistic rets and recoil, no spray and pray unless your really close. Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: Suicide_Commando on April 17, 2004, 02:50:52 am Tried it, no go. >:(
Thanks for the offer though Mac. One of these days hopefully I'll be able to join you gentlemen in the arena of online combat. Title: Re:Dead around here Post by: Raven2367 on April 19, 2004, 06:47:26 pm Hey guys! I'm back! Got my final school exams ahead of me this week and I'm really nervous :(
