Title: Raven Shield makes my screen sleep Post by: thekidd on April 02, 2004, 04:43:34 pm I hope someone can help. I bought a new Seagate 80 grive for my G4 533 896 ram
and an ATI 9000 Pro. I installed 10.3.3 with the Display update from ATI that is just for 10.3.3. and after installing a fresh Raven Shield my screen goes into sleep mode when I start the game, I can hear the sound but all black until I force quit, I know that the min requirments are a 733 but it worked fine in 10.2.8. Ghost Recon is still fine and faster, Tiger Woods is twice as fast and better graphics, but RvS well you heard it all black, Someone please. Thank You all thekidd I hope all the light touches your souls Title: Re:Raven Shield makes my screen sleep Post by: l ! l Ross on April 02, 2004, 04:50:17 pm Its not going to sleep its a bug. When I join a game sometimes the first time I join I get a black screen and nothing happens. I have to then force quit and then rejoin.
If this is happening all the time even when offline then it sounds like it is more to do with raven that your new graphics card. I assume other games work fine? Probably best with a reinstall. Title: Re:Raven Shield makes my screen sleep Post by: thekidd on April 02, 2004, 05:09:13 pm It is happining offline also, and I have reinstalled 3 times now, I also talked with a Jennifer down at Aspyr, and she has not heard of this problem yet. She did mention the 533 being slow (i know it is but....) it works in 10.2.8, maybe Panther checks video requirments for games differently, not sure though.
