Title: Softfading on an iPod? iPod owners read pls.
Post by: *DAMN Mauti on January 16, 2004, 12:00:50 am
Hi iPod owners,

I have a question: can you enable fading between two songs, like in iTunes, on an iPod? If yes where do you do it?

Thanks,

Mauti

as I said, maybe the new ipods (software version >= 2) are able to do that, but my old one doesn't.

Mauti, no its unfortunatly not possible to have cross fading. the ipods just can't handle it... a great pity.

maybe in the future... ;)

I don't think the newer ones can,
I'd wait on buying an ipod if i was you.

My ipod, which is 1 year old, is having battery problems, which means the ipod is almost dead. Unless i want to pay apple 100$ to have a new one put in mine, but who would do that when a new, better ipod is only a few hundred more.
Unfortunatly, this ipod has basically ended up costing $1 a day for the last year, and now its dead. And if i did replace the battery for 100$, when the damn thing dies in 12 months it will have cost me $1.50 a day to own the thing.
Then again, i can't live without it.
FU Steve!
FU Apple!
& FU rapid.

I have heard a rumor that the new version of the iPod software will be able to crossfade. As of right now, I have a 20gb iPod 3rd generation, and it does not allow crossfading. I do understand why.. but that is okay... Plus, I change my songs a lot.

Thank you for your answers.

I'm not really thinking about buying one. I have to buy my G5   ;D but I'm playing DJ for a friend and I thought it would be cool if I just take an ipod with me that runs and runs with nice crossfading I can take care about the young cute girls at the bar posing that I'm the DJ of the night...

(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/dj.gif) <- iPod Mauti "I'm the DJ of the night, how do you like my bootlegs?" *Loveisintheair*-> (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/beer.gif) <- 18 - 21 young, cute, and damn horny

Later at the night: Mauti -> (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/banana.gif) while the iPod still (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/dj.gif)

(*)DAMN it. I'm 21 now and still soooo stupid MUAHAHAHAHA.

Regards,

Mauti
