Feel free to enter the server to practice and gain honor.

If you need the server for cbs get a hold of Me, Diesel, Noto, or Jugg and they can set it up for you.

To enter the server open the console in the game and enter ...(no password needed)

I didn't think you could make servers official if they aren't actual army servers, when I joined, it said unofficial server still, just thought i'd throw that out there.

it might say unofficial but you can still earn points here

I got points, or more accurately, got points taken away after blowing up Billy. ;)

Just to recap--

The host is official.  I did earn points last night.  As your playing it says (Leased Server).  When I check on the admin section after selecting a server confinguration it does say its an official.  Infact we have access to all possible configurations including the Official TWL.  The only restriction is that you need to have a minimum of 9 Honor Points.

RGR, I didn't think you would let me in, but I'll try not to tk, it's a lot harder in AA to not tk than ghr I must admit.

Yeah tk's happen a lot more, but just watch at the uniforms, there's always difference, sometimes harder to notice, but there is a difference...

BTW I'm gonna try to join your server tonight, if I'm allowed  ;) , I've got 10 honor points, not much, but hey saturday was the first time I played the game.

I just checked my stats on the America's Army website and on aaotracker.com and neither one show any difference in my points from before I played on the N server last night.  I got over 500 points from the games I played on there and none of them have updated anywhere.

Ghost, I checked several times after you pointed this out.  All 5 members playing on this host had points adjusted.  This error sounds like somthing on your end.  All points were awarded to members playing on the server.  

Hmmm, well, let me try playing on another server and see if my points update.....havn't had this problem before.....I did get to an honor of 13 on the official servers.

Sorry .::|N|, I think it must be your server....I just got done playing in an Official Server and then checked my stats and they were updated both on the America's Army website and on aaotracker.com.  I still don't have the points from the other night on your server updated anywhere.

If it hasnt been said lemme say it now, NO server can be used to gain honor except official army servers or specific paid for servers such as a PUBLIC server from goamericasarmy.com. No server hosted from ANY computer will let you gain honor. You may get points but u will not gain honor.

I did purchase a 12 man Public server from goamericasarmy.com.
It is not hosted on my machine in fact i dont know where they host it.
You will earn honor.
also sorry it cant hold more people than twelve but thats all the network can afford right now.

Yes the Network Server is an Honor server.

I gained in points and archer even went up by 2 honor points while we were playing there (we were kicking ass).

Its a very good server and no lagg. Nice job Network.

damn a 12 man pub server eh? for everyone who doesnt know thats 96 bucks a month. We at a2 are cheap bastards and dont feel like forfeiting up our money. But hell whatever floats your boat. Ill drop by ur server later sometime....mb to rape a few mac users? ;)

I was playing with mostly PC players in there, some with 60+ honor. Not much luck there.  >:(

Damn I missed the "No-namer" insults.  Anywho, it was probably someone bitching about no recieving honor points on our server.   ;)

Great job on the server .::|N| !! I played on it and received some good points there, to bad I lost half of 'em because some numnutt ran in front of me when I was nading. I nuked us both  :( .

open console with this key without quotes "~" , then type without quotes "open the_ip_here" (ex: open 69.25.137.156)

If its a passworded server type without quotes "open the_ip_here?password=whatever_the_password_is" (ex: open 69.25.137.156?password=applez)

on german keyboard layout (osx) "~" is typed like this:
"alt - n" and then "space" ;D
how is it done on u.s. layout?

second (just to be sure):
on which screen you have to type it? probably the server browser window, right?

Hmm, interesting.  On a US keyboard, there actually is just a separate ~ key.  I think the best bet for you Red Dust, is to go into your Control Preferences in AA and see where the key to bring up the console is mapped, and change it to something will fit your keyboard.

And I could be wrong on this, but you can reach the console from any screen in the whole game, be it the browser window, in an actual game, or in the main menu system.

there are no changess possible in the aa settings menu (aren't there?) so i have to play with u.s. layout to take advantage of this feature.  :-X
