Title: Special Forces Training Post by: Supernatural Pie on November 28, 2003, 08:03:46 pm [sarcasm] WOW THAT WAS FUN! [/sarcasm]
I never thought I could POSSIBLY have that kind of patience in a computer game, but I somehow managed it. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/sleeping.gif) But it's definately worth it! The SF guns are shmeeeeeeeeexxxyyyyyyy. Anyway, has anyone else beaten SF training yet? I'd like to hear that I'm not the only one that was frustrated as hell through all of that. When I was talking to Bluefire on gameranger last night, I told him to name the biggest ghost recon map he could think of, and then think about what it would be like to crawl across it corner to corner as slowly as possible. That's what the SF training was like.(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/sleeping.gif)(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/sleeping.gif)(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/sleeping.gif) After the simplicities of medic training and basic training, that was really intimidating. Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: c| Splinter on November 28, 2003, 08:42:48 pm yeah i feel ya man. It's interesting stuff the first time around, but I got a 53% on the vehicles and weapons recognition on my first try...guess I must have nodded off in class ;) I just wish you could bypass half the stuff...i really don't feel like talking to those 7 guys again (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/sleeping.gif)
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: .vooDoo. on November 29, 2003, 12:11:46 am omg, i had to do the test twice now....and still havnt passed. I guess i should pay attension in class. I let the guy talk and go make a sandwich and come back to the test and failed with 20% first time and 35% second time. lmao...i was never really good at testing.
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Toxic::Joka on November 29, 2003, 02:22:39 am *passed on foirst tyr**
70+% each time Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: BTs_FahQ2 on November 29, 2003, 02:42:05 am Passed the question test pretty easy, sorry Voodoo. But the crawling bullshit is pissing me off. I can get to point A, but getting to point b is murder. I quit a while until I can lower my rage and try again.
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: c| Sssickboy on November 29, 2003, 02:57:17 am Someone please pass me the answers. I need a cheat sheet. WTF!!
30%, 60% !!! Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Da? Swiftkill on November 29, 2003, 03:20:27 am YES...CHEAT SHEET PLZ!!!!!

Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: u wish on November 29, 2003, 04:46:52 am You can search the web for the answers to all the tests, and hacks for SP training... So it means nothing
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Supernatural Pie on November 29, 2003, 06:01:40 am Passed the question test pretty easy, sorry Voodoo. But the crawling bullshit is pissing me off. I can get to point A, but getting to point b is murder. I quit a while until I can lower my rage and try again. I'll point you in the right direction. Crawl to the left side of the bridge, then move sideways down the hill into the gorge, facing in the direction of the bridge. Crawl that way (to the right of your original starting point) and go around the bend. I can only show you the door. You have to walk through it. :o If they gave me an m24 and a suppressor, I'd be out of that camp in 3 minutes. ::) Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Jeb on November 29, 2003, 10:44:31 am Yeah the crawling is bullshit, especially when i'm spotted behind rocks or bushes, in the dark, when i'm not moving. I really would love to kill those fucking pinkos, or at least blind them.
I made it to point B once, but i gave up after a hour of pointless crawling with no luck. This update is a big fuck in the ass if you ask me... I was reverted to 10hp on my original account (from 17), not to mention the hours i've spent crawling. So basically i'm waiting for The canadian military to make a game, so i can get good at doing nothing. Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: c| Sssickboy on November 29, 2003, 04:16:15 pm according to players on the AA forums some have said the E&E is easy, others are just as frustrated. Basicly it's a time consuming maze. If you find the right path then everything is smooth sailing. There are posted tips for getting through it. If you want to do it without the walk throughs then the best advice is: If you get caught twice in the same area, you are probably going the wrong way, and should find another. And whether a guy is facing you will not increase or decrease his chances of seeing you. A search light will. There are some sections where you must crawl really slow to get by, but most of the time fast crawling will get you through it.
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Da? Swiftkill on November 29, 2003, 06:23:36 pm Can anyone give me a link for a full AA 2.0 download? I dont feel like re-installing 1.9 and then having to update it and all that.
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Supernatural Pie on November 29, 2003, 08:54:05 pm And whether a guy is facing you will not increase or decrease his chances of seeing you. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I spent so much time with my binoculars watching all of the guards in the hills, waiting for them to look the other way so that i could keep moving. PFFT. >:( Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Valdar on November 30, 2003, 04:21:22 am got the SF test off another site and here they are
1)B B C 2)A A A 3)A C D 4)A D B 5)B C B I've tried them and they give you 100% :p Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Da? Swiftkill on December 01, 2003, 02:41:33 am THANK U VALDAR
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: BTs_GhostSniper on December 01, 2003, 04:16:15 am Oh shit, cheats for the test??? You SUCK! If you can't recognize American and Russian military hardware, you shouldn't be playing! lol
Disclaimer: The preceding post was made for the morons on this forum who couldn't identify their girlfriend's/wife's clitoris while using a sex book to cheat with. Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Da? Swiftkill on December 02, 2003, 01:32:48 am Can someone walk me through getting to point B? I go under the bridge, around the rock, around the big hill, and then somehow get spotted. HELP?!!
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Supernatural Pie on December 02, 2003, 03:57:03 am All I remember is that at that point, I was pressing forward once every five seconds. (It was right after I had been semi-seen)
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: c| Sssickboy on December 02, 2003, 05:36:36 am If you get to the point where you are having to move and stop every 5 seconds, you are probably going the wrong way. Once you find the path... it should be pretty easy.
Spilling the beans. Honorable players do not click on this link: http://individual.utoronto.ca/divya/ Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: BTs_GhostSniper on December 02, 2003, 04:30:30 pm Special Forces training was a piece of cake....I completed everything in under 45 minutes. I must say, the real thing was MUCH MUCH HARDER......lol
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: .::|N| DIESEL on December 02, 2003, 06:54:00 pm Thanks for the cheat and a good laugh at work. I think that is by far the funniest cheat I have ever read. ;D
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Supernatural Pie on December 02, 2003, 09:33:16 pm lmfao.
Well done sssickboy. Good find. Gave me a good laugh. :) Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: c| Sssickboy on December 02, 2003, 11:44:56 pm Reminded me on good ol' Lin
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: crypt on December 05, 2003, 04:22:22 am OK, I just beat SF training (and medic), can anyone tell me which maps allow you to use the SF M4 weapons mod? Is it just the maps with SF preceding or coming after the map name? Or is it all maps...
Comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :) Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Typhy on December 05, 2003, 04:50:22 am SF Pipeline, SF CSAR, SF Hospital and SF Recon.
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: [OZ] Martin on December 05, 2003, 11:06:03 am That sucks. Hmm today i'll be a normal grunt, Hmm Now i'll be SF. Ooops back to a normal grunt.
Wow the military dictates even our soldiering capabilities on a day by day basis. Maybe tommorow i'll be able to drive a tank. :-D Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: BTs_GhostSniper on December 05, 2003, 03:38:25 pm That sucks. Maybe tommorow i'll be able to drive a tank. :-D No, Martin, the way it works in the REAL Army (and I speak from experience) is: Today you are a floor sweeper (Friday), Saturday you are a trash collector, Sunday you are a saint (unless you don't go to church, in that case you are a floor waxer), Monday you are a trained killing machine and will be called upon to rain death on a terrorist training camp, Tuesday you are a PT Instructor (as if you didn't get enough PT while killing people), Wednesday you are a Soldier marching in a parade, Thursday you are a punching bag in hand-to-hand combat training, and FRIDAY you are a floor sweeper again! Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Supernatural Pie on December 05, 2003, 09:25:11 pm That puts a lot of stuff into perspective.
And this was a game that the army claimed was supposed to "give people potential recruits something to expect when they joined the army" (paraphrasing all the bs i've heard) Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: BTs_GhostSniper on December 05, 2003, 11:44:50 pm That puts a lot of stuff into perspective. And this was a game that the army claimed was supposed to "give people potential recruits something to expect when they joined the army" (paraphrasing all the bs i've heard) Yeah, fortunately only a small percentage of the Army will ever get to see anything like what is depicted in that game. I for one sometimes wish I hadn't seen the things I've seen. Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: [OZ] Martin on December 06, 2003, 01:25:55 pm It's ok Ghostsniper. I was just paying out the fact that you couldn't be a SF soldier in all maps. just the latest ones.
I wasn't taking a jab at the real military. I too have some experience of what that is like. Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: BTs_GhostSniper on December 06, 2003, 11:01:23 pm No offense taken :)
Title: Re:Special Forces Training Post by: Cossack on December 07, 2003, 07:05:10 am Same camp as you GS. I passed the test with an 86 the first time and did E&E in 20 minutes (had to repeat obj A to B only once) Guess all that military academy wargame excercises showed me the way.
