After 2 hours of my time towards bitching, flaming, abusing and rebuttling; i have come to the realization that YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF respectable people, with differing opinions i should respect. Frankly, i don't care about any of these arguments anymore, because they have gone no where from start to finish; and completely wasted my (our) time; and i have a hot date tonite ;D So i'm extending my handshake as a truce - that we should respect each other's opinions, and i apologize for any personal attacks. I'll continue my quest of seeing whether Evill is in fact breaking a law in Western Australia, but I do want to let it be known that I respect all of those who think that this may not be in the best interest of the mac world. Meanwhile myself and some other permabanees are working on a competing app to GR, which will also be windows compatible. No, I cannot give any more information at this time. Oh well. And Ross, about your little "quest" to see if Evill's breaking the law, just leave it be. It'll only make things worse, especially if he is indeed breaking the law, which I doubt. Evill gets arrested/sued/etc., he'll shut down GameRanger for sure. But then, your little service will come out, how convenient. Now who's trying to muscle someone out the market? >:(

Ross, any such project is fucking deadborn. Many before you have tried, and they have all failed, and it's not because Evill is a bully. It's because the mac gaming market is way too small for good competition, and he's being fair anyway. If you just stick to the rules you're not going to get permanently banned, and that's how it is. How would Evill be breaking the law? He's running a small one-man software company and he's hardly making money from it. As to the windows compatibility feature you're bragging about, that's just laughable. |
