What I'd like to know is if this a 1.4 patch? Has anyone ever seen a Ghost Recon No-CD patched for version 1.4? B- Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on September 14, 2003, 01:13:43 am Just download the no cd file and mount it Expander or Disc Copy and then you can start Ghost Recon without using the GR CD!
Bye, Mauti Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: .vooDoo. on September 14, 2003, 03:14:25 am Nice. This will solve a problem I have when booting into os9 with the Ghr. cd in.
Hallalouya.!! Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: Tim Leary:SOG on September 18, 2003, 06:39:15 pm it's not a mod but a disc image I believe (or a fake one)... expand the download and launch it - it mounts on your desktop. of course when you reboot you have to relaunch it. i say it's sort of like a fake disc image because well you can make an image for your whole GR cd but that's over 600 mb, and this little puppy is only 1mb.
Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: BTs_Ch A oS on September 20, 2003, 09:24:08 pm Yes, this opens dramatically faster than the full-game disk image.

Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: Acri on October 22, 2003, 08:21:59 am Sturm: Next time you open a big disk image, press skip. It is only verification that takes time. Just press skip.
Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: BTs_Ch A oS on October 22, 2003, 12:29:22 pm Thnx Acri, but in this case the speed of opening the No-CD image is only the icing on the cake of having 600+ MBs of extra hard-drive space because you don't need to copy the disk image off your CD onto your desk-top and you don't need the CD in your drive (people have died in cbs because their disk ejected). I appreciate the heads up though!
Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: crypt on October 22, 2003, 12:59:56 pm yeah, even though i like the No-CD thing, thx for the great tip acri, several times have i been "tardy" to cb's and games because of that, but now i can get it in faster. :P
Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on October 22, 2003, 01:04:41 pm Sturm the GhR CD image here at *DAMN is only a fake CD image. It is 1.4MB large not 600!!!
Bye, Mauti Title: Re:Ghost Recon no cd kit? Post by: BTs_Ch A oS on October 22, 2003, 07:34:43 pm I know that Mauti. Hehe I was (unsuccessfully) trying to express this fact and state why the no-cd is better than the full image or CD itself for quick launch. Thanks for the helping hand my man--there wil be a little something extra in your pay check this week.
