Title: warfare engine Post by: Raven2367 on August 13, 2003, 11:40:14 pm damn its good
I just played the Raven Shield Demo and bought Unreal II yesterday. I mean it looks so damn good. The Maps in both games look so unbelievably good!! What do ya'll think of it? Will you DTD guys be making any mods for Raven Shield? The world models dont look so good from what i could see in the Raven Shield Demo... Title: Re:warfare engine Post by: WardenMac on August 14, 2003, 01:54:17 am I dont know Raven. I surly hope so, thats all we wanted for a while. Its come out and all the bugs have kinda screwed it for me. I play all the time in sp and with the release of the new patch, I will try mp this weekend. No more trigger lag I see, although bullet lag is what everyone is complaining about now, lol. Seems the patch has issues as well, so they are releasing a update for the new patch tuesday, lmao.
I love the game, I like the maps, the feel, all of it. I cant speak for coco and cobra but I will definately be trying some weps for the game. I also will go ahead and state Whisper_44 is learning maps, so maybe some future projects will include maps too ;D. He needs some encouragement though, everyone help me out :D Title: Re:warfare engine Post by: Whisper_44 on August 14, 2003, 02:44:27 am I also will go ahead and state Whisper_44 is learning maps I am ??? :o ??? LMAO, yeah thought you needed a little assistance with that decision ;D. Cmon, poeple, dont ya think Whisper would make a great map maker? Just think of it, Cocos skins, cobras textures and amazing file skills, my models, and whispers maps. What ya think? Title: Re:warfare engine Post by: Cobra6 on August 14, 2003, 04:13:44 am I'm in ;D

Title: Re:warfare engine Post by: Raven2367 on August 14, 2003, 11:35:06 pm I'd love to help, too. i was a quite good mapper for the first unreal engine...
Hang on!!... is there the UnrealED 3.0 with Ravenshield?? that would be cool!! And gmax is going to be warefare compatible soon, too (i heard) ;D (http://people.freenet.de/greg_p1/ristmap.jpg) My Sniper battle map in the first unreal ed (realistic map) Just ordered Raven Shield ;D ;D ;D Hmm anyway... making mods for the first unreal engine was pretty hard (i tried it). I had to learn quite a lot of C++ and Java. theres more coding involved than in the previous Rainbow Six games. Dont know if redstorm kept its filing system the same in Raven Shield. Hope so! Cos a couple of pages of code for every gun is no fun :( Title: Re:warfare engine Post by: Whisper_44 on August 15, 2003, 12:22:58 am Raven Shield shipped with a map editor, not a full UnrealEd so to speak, the SDK for Raven Shield is expected about Mid December 2003, this will facilitate full and complete modifications for Raven Shield, as of now it's only maps >:(
