Title: Battle League Admins. . . Post by: Typhy on May 21, 2003, 09:57:53 pm While this might be more fitting in the BL section, with recent events there, I don't even want to try and post it.
The Battle League admins seem to get getting behind on everything. Over the past week, there have always been 15+ CBs in the Drop Box, and it takes several updates to get them posted. And the sad part is, that's not the worst of it. The whole Battle League form isn't being correctly moderated. There are people posting complaints in the CB Drop Box, and there have been dozens of threads started about CB issues, such issues should be argued in the BL Problem Drop Box. The reason that people are starting these threads is because the Problem Drop Box isn't being correctly moderated, and issues are being processed so slowly that they feel that if they post there, their issue won't get looked into for weeks. It's understandable. Only 3 BL admins are really doing any work, and 5.95 CBs come in each day. Problem 1: There are only 3 BL admins doing work, and out of those three, only VooDoo is taking much of a role in clan battle issues. It's not Mauti's job to make decesions on all disputed battles, almost all of those choices can be made by the BL admins. With this many CBs coming in each day, you really need an update every other day, and that's simply not happening. I think it's extremely unreasonable to expect 3 BL admins to deal with all of that. In short, if you need help, I'm here. Title: Re:Battle League Admins. . . Title: Re:Battle League Admins. . . Post by: †FiRE Infection on May 22, 2003, 12:43:29 am There haven't been threads started about cb issues. Actually the complaints in the problem drop box are being turned into new threads with the new split feature for moderators where we can just take a post and split it and the replies towards it into a completely new thread. This is pretty much what we always wanted, a complaint in the drop box then a thread about it, not a complaint and all the replies to it in the drop box mixing several complaints up.
I'm trying to stay out of most GhR cb problems because I don't know the game really well, but I'm around to help with any arguments or rule interpretation problems. Most recently I helped out Flies when Voodoo asked and we interpreted and changed a rule together. As to the posting, I admit I posted a lot more last season and have slacked off a bit but I'm trying my best to put up cb's but I have school which is almost ending so after finals it'll be easier. It's not like you see me on GR playing RS and talking all day. I don't have the time at all during the week. Just so many every day and with all of the battle problems which I don't fully understand not haveing the greatest knowledge of GhR I'm a little hesitant to update too quickly. I don't see why I have to answer to you, you've always got the same complaints. Trust me, we know what the problems are and we talk about them out of your site. *sigh* Title: Re:Battle League Admins. . . Post by: Casper on May 22, 2003, 06:15:08 am Bronto there are already enough FiRE members as bl mods :) but me being in many clans and holding no grudges(and no favorites) would be a good bl admin ;) and i have to agree with typhy the updating is really slow because of the shortage of people and haz seems to be lazy cause i see him all the time on aim ;)
Title: Re:Battle League Admins. . . Post by: Typhy on May 22, 2003, 07:25:42 am Yeah, well, my point is that with almost 6 CBs coming in each day, it's unreasonable for 3 moderators to be expected to not only update that CB, but to deal with any issues regarding them.
