SEALs and Ranger grabbed this 19 year old private from an Iraqi controlled hospital, unfortunately, I don't think any of the other 11 troops that were prisoner there were alive.

Yeah that was really good news, and very disheartening. I just heard that those forces didn't receive any fire inside the facility, only on insertion/extraction. Also an investigative team is being dispatched to the site, at least that's whats being reported on MSNBC.

Unfortunately this Pfc was probably tortured, but all that shows is the brutality of Saddam and his minions.

Yeah, unforetunately. I don't think that is really unexpected given past circumstances.     >:(

according to CNN it was a joint operation between the CIA and 4 different special forces groups..... geez :o

I believe that CIA and DELTA operatives got the intel on the location from an interrogated Iraqi prisoner, and SEALs and Rangers conducted the raid with USMC backup, possibly with USMC transport.

I also heard that the Private expended all her ammunition firing her weapon and did not want to be taken alive. I assume that's when she sustained her gunshot wounds, but who knows. She had 2 broken legs, a broken arm, and 2 gunshot wounds when they found her, so I doubt she'd have survived much longer in that condition. It's hard to tell the facts becuse right now it's being spun into a PR story, even being used by some as an argument that women should be allowed into combat. Opportunists, what can ya do? ???

lol she's got bigger ballz than most men, if u ask me..... i seriously hope someone bought her a drink for all that..... who cares if she is underage, she deserves a nice, big mudslide after all that! 8)

I heard some updates on this:
Aparrently she wasn't shot or stabbed, but did have 2 broken ankles and an arm, and an injured back, she has undergone spinal surgery as a result. It appears that the Iraqi's used a tactic commonly used on female captives, the prisoner is hung upside down by the ankles and beaten, sexually assaulted, etc. That would explain the leg injuries, and also the back injuries. Bad stuff.

I say find those men, round them up, give her another F--king pistol with several clips, lock the door, and turn her loose.

You can say what you want about that young lady, she damn sure has earned my respect, and deserves everyone elses. God bless her.

Now they are saying she might have been shot again by a weak rifle or possibly a pistol...who knows.

I like the pistol idea, Three Kings style...only this time she should kill them all by herself.

She was lucky lady saw on CNN they found the rest of her team dead  :( thoese stupid 3rd world F**kers all need to die just my opion as a brit. ::)  

We wont know what happened actually until she tells the story I guess. Alot of rumors going around. I just hope shes ok mentally. Shes been through alot. Would make a good movie actually.

My last post sounds kinda morbib, you guys know what I mean though.
