Just would like to know if there is a hall of fame or anything where you can see who won and how !

If not I would make one it is kinda cool i think to look back on who was victorious ;D

Good idea, but I don't know if it was implimented.  Would be kinda cool to see the peeps who battled and the scores and such.  Representations of the clans would also be cool.  Here is the latest I saw it develop to

Was this every decided as to how it could be done or if it would be done????  I think it is a good idea.  :)

Why not just make it for now the winners and so we can keep track put a medal or something by the clan ok the top 3 clans would be enough and you can expand it if you want would be pretty cool for a start

Make a page called DAMN of Fame and hang the winners on the wall simple as that

if you want to expand it you can do it with time

It would be a really cool thing to have a list of all the great clans or players.  Maybe a section like the Guiness Records book.... ie- Most kills, quickest cb, longest winning streak, most wins, most points.  Would be a great addition to the site.

  I want to point out that there has been talk of such an idea in the past.

In the past, what has really killed it, is not knowing who to put in. I think that if we were all in agreement on who would go in, there would be no problems.

Does Grifter go in on account of his death, or not, since he didn't achieve anything that no one else did?

Does Rapid go in as the leader of AK in the first battle league?

Do Typhy and Xoclipse go in as winners of the 1v1 tourney?

It's simple, no one can agree on what players to let in, and no one seems to accept the idea of making it just for battle league winning clans.  

why not just start it this year or for the 3rd bl season...  keep track as the season goes along

I don't think someone would get put on the Hall of Fame for "Best CB Duckers". Besides, it's a Hall of Fame, it shouldn't be a gigantic list. It should be for the winner of each season, and then maybe an award for Coolest Guy of the Season award(something along those lines), with Grifter pwning all competition the first two seasons. Maybe give Jeb the award for 3rd season, I dunno.

Typhy you act like you are some stud here ! Why?

I made this post to find out if there is a Room where the Prizes hang just for the Winners of the season, not for some guy to try and act like he a Hall of famer!

lol Raven... Just curious, how long have you been around the RS stage? Did you just come back after retirement or something? (I'm not old enough to really know) All I know is that AK has been around for a while; Typhy is good as he won the 1v1 Competition that had all the best players; He's not very modest, true, but he has been around longer than you ( I am guessing ) so most of the things he says are correct  8)

With respect to the "Coolest Guy On GR or BL" or whatever, why not just call it The Grifter Award"[/u]"", that way you not only honor him, but then there is an actual title to it!
I like the idea of naming the winners of each BL season.  It should be more than that though.  Hmmm.  Mauti do you have any thoughts on this?????

 Grifter's part of this community was more as a forum poster than as a Rogue Spear player, if there was a "Grifter Award", it would have to go to the best forum poster. Maybe the "Ultimo Award"? ;)

Raven, incase you haven't noticed, I'm not in AK. I'm the leader of the clan MP5. AK was founded in September of 2001. . .  That's about a year and a half ago. For a RS clan, that's pretty old.  

No, I think The Grifter Award is perfect! I played many games with Grifter actually, and he was a good player. Besides, it doesn't make much sense naming an award after someone who is still with us. I think the Grifter Award is a great idea.

I honestly don't think that naming the award after someone in this community is a good idea. There are great players in this community who hated Grifter ( Rapid comes to mind first of all ).

Anyone who hated Grifter is a communist, plain and simple. Rapid is the only person that I'm aware of that disliked Grifter anyways. They don't have to accept the award if they don't want to. Grifter was a really nice guy, and I think the Grifter Award should be awarded to those who not only just excell in skill, but in sportsmanship and respect(towards others) as well. I don't think Rapid would be getting this award anytime soon.***
Oh yeah, Typhy, I just finally figured out what the title meant. When he said "Awards or a Typhy", I think he meant "Trophy." He just has you on his brain. Now you two kids have fun, and be back before 11.

 Mellow, if you say "disliked", then you could throw me in there. During Grifter's life, he and I would always agrue, and not always in a respectful manner. The thing that I liked about him, was he was forgiving, in a way. He was able to get over past issues, and defend what he belived was right, no matter who he was going against, or for.

Of course, due to his passing away, I don't "dislike" him now. I hold him in a spot above us, I try not to bring him up in arguments, to me, that's like shooting out of a hospital - 1.) fighting cheap, because the oponent won't shoot back at it, and 2.) asking for trouble.

To avoid trouble, I think it would be best to not name the award after anyone in this community. Maybe the Ding Chavez award? ;)

Blah you don't get the point. The whole point of the award is to honor Grifter. Just because one or two people might be offended (and I don't see how) shouldn't matter. Well, it should, but you know what I mean. Maybe we could have a vote? Anyways, this is just an idea anyways, not something even set in stone. I don't think Mauti has even read the post, and I think we should get Bucc's or Deadeye's approval before-hand, incase they have any objections.

 Mellow, the 'whole point' of the award should be to honor the person who wins it. Not to honor the person who it's named after.

Is the Vince Lombardi Trophy to honor Vince Lombardi, or to honor the winner of the trophy?

To me, wanting to name it after Grifter is much like wanting to name if after Chicago's cousin. His death was tragic, but he didn't achieve anything in this community ( GameRanger ) to have a *DAMN Battle League award named after him. Grifter was a good player, yes. So what? He never won a battle league, and as a Rogue Spear player, he achieved less than say, Rapid, Ultimo, or Infection ( Leaders of Rogue Spear Battle League winners ).

Unless we could all agree to having the award named after someone who not everyone got along with, I don't think it would be fair to everyone in this community, and it's obvious that we can't all agree, since I object, and I know others feel the same.

Raven, I too played against Grifter, both in normal games, and in CBs. I've been on GameRanger longer than you also.

I really have no idea what you're talking about, you seem to repeat the same word so many times in each sentence that it makes no sense whatsoever.

People like you are a bit hard to argue against, for several reasons:

1.) It's obvious that you don't read my post.

2.) While your responses have the name of the person who is being talked about, the subject of your post seems to be showing off how dumb you can be.

Well, without knowing who Domingo Chavez is from the books, thats a rather stupid name to put on it. Its like naming something the "Bob Smith" Award. It has no meaning.

I don't play RS (cept on my neightbors PC). Who is Grifter and how did he die ? I think the "Chavez Award" is a great idea.

I just came up with a better idea. The Mauti Award. Mauti makes all of this possible, so why not honor Mauti for making all of our lives somewhat more entertaining...

Hellbent, Grifter was an awesome RS player who passed away in a motorcycle accident.

On a side note, you ghr players so much shit sometimes when you've only been here for 3months.  :)

This thread demonstrates why there is no hall of fame. I mean no one can agree what the name of an award should be, let alone decide who should get this award.

Yeah, lets keep the hall of fame in our hearts, instead of on web pages.

Awards for season victors have been created and a Hall of Fame will come eventually, made by Mauti so there will be no problems deciding on anything.  Otherwise this is mostly dead spam.
