Title: Mod Problems on a Mac
Post by: Lupus on March 11, 2003, 03:30:39 pm
I am new and having trouble getting mods to work.

I have trouble getting to Mission 2 in Ghost Recon. It may relate to Specialist/Heroes. The game frequently crashes trying to start Mission 2. I finally got a DTD_IDF Campaign into Mission 2 and even got it to mission 5. The Specialist I have look suspect to me though. One has an all white Kit & one is an Alpinist. The weapons in their kits appear strange to me too. With one mod when I finished Mission 1 I got a Specialist with no name, just says rifelman. I assigned this no name guy to a squad but he does not appear on the set up screen (he does take a position, because I can not add a 6th man). When I started mission 2 with my no namer he was there but not available on the comand screen. Frequently Ghost Recon crashes on me when I try to start mission2 with my new specialist.

I may very well have made initial set up mistakes with my mods. There was not much in the way of instructions for Mac users with most of them. I have read all I can find here & elsewhere on setting up mods and have tried to correct the problem. At one point I deleted all my old bad missions & campaigns & started over. I do not run two mods at the same time. I do not even run Desert Siege with mods. I have Navy Seals, Black Sun, DTD_IDF and SOTO Plaster V4 in my mods file.

Any suggestions about what to do would be greatly appreciated.

OK, well I would not reccommend running those last 4 mods together, but I'm not sure that's what you meant. Truthfully, I've never played GR on a Mac, all our Mac work is done by *DAMN Mauti, and I'd go to him for support purposes on Mac issues.... Sorry I can't be of more help but I am not familliar enough with the Mac setup to offer you any advice!
again, I apologize,
Coco

I appreciate the directional heads up. DAMN Mauti, I will go find that forum. Someone suggested I try here on another post sorry if I was in the wrong place. Thanks again!
