Title: GHR LAG FEST '99 Post by: MainMaN on March 06, 2003, 04:14:39 am heya...
i dunno if this is new so i just wana clarify this... I have navida 32mb video card and 800mhz.. 1 gig of ram. When i play Desert seige i get like around 30 fps. Some Island thunder maps are 5-10 fps! I meet all the ghr reg. and more... My PC friend has the same card and he pulls 50-60 fps. Im allways in red for fps. My Pc friend to tweek your card for better performance... How do i get ghost recon playing nice and smooth like its suppose to! btw.. i have a New imac. I tired turning down all the settings and it actually made some of it worse.. so re-installed and the max fps i get like like 30.. WHY WONT GHR RUN LIKE ITS SUPPOSE TO? hmm... -mainman :o Title: Re:GHR LAG FEST '99 Post by: *DAMN Elandrion on March 06, 2003, 02:10:29 pm it seems that the IT maps use bigger or more high-res textures and more polygons than normal GR and DesertSiege, so it's no surprise that IT is slower.

I've got a GeForce2 MX and 512 MB RAM on a G4 733 tower, and I average between 19-26 FPS (depending on map) with everything on low. The Geforce2 just isn't enough card for the job. Buccaneer has a GeForce4 MX, and he gets around 30 FPS with everything on high. The card's the thing.
