Title: DTD Problem
Post by: Rigid Ice on January 31, 2003, 12:01:18 am
I'm completely new to the whole, DTD Mod for GR, so tell me where I screwed up ;)

1. I downloaded DTD V. 1.3 -part 1, 2, and the upgrade (Im using Ghost Recon: Desert Siege)

2. I installed all the downloads and restarted my computer.

3. Went into GR/DS and seen that half of the uniforms show up as a blank white skin texture and some of the reticules are just big yellow blocks.

4. I tried opening the files to see what was wrong, but almost all of the files could not be open, even the textures that did work in the game (I converted some of the files from that GR RSB format, to the readable RSB format)

5. Still no luck? Whats wrong? Do I need to download v. 1.2? Where is it?

Thanks...

P.S. anyone still play UO, im afraid my modding will be too late...

if you downloaded the part 1 and 2 files, don't install the patch. The entire mod is already patched, so going back to version 1.2 isn't possible. As for the missing textures, play with your display detail settings and turn off texture mip-mapping in the GR setup and see if that helps.

hey, thanks for the help, but, i think I'll just re-download the files. maybe my modem messed up or something  ;) And, as I said, I couldnt open the texture files themselves (some would open not others) so I figured, I SHOULD try to re-download. Well, i'll be back, gotta download.... 3kb a sec :o Blazing speeds :D

All texture files are saved in the new RSB format, so make sure you have the newest photoshop GR plugins if you want to view them.

 ???

Tried what you recommended, and still can't get it to work...would it require the photoshop plugin from IT to view the unifroms?
