I just about died, having just read those plays before seeing it the first time). I own this on DVD as well. Agree about that joke being about the funniest thing I've ever heard. Title: Re: Movies Post by: †FiRE Infection on May 21, 2002, 10:46:11 pm LoL Sniper I was just waiting for somebody to add a porn tape.

Title: Re: Movies Post by: theN00b on May 22, 2002, 02:45:03 pm cheers to Thin Red Line. The scene where they are on that grassy hill was phenominal. My film class tried (actually we did good at it) to recreate that scene.
Title: Re: Movies Post by: AK_Kilzo on May 22, 2002, 02:57:21 pm 1. Matrix
2. Fight Club 3. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 4. HardBoiled 5. Friday the 13th (part2) 6. Halloween 7. Nightmare on Elm Street 8. BraveHeart 9. Evil Dead 10. Any movie with Kobe Tai :):):):) Title: Re: Movies Post by: AK_Rap1d on May 22, 2002, 03:09:10 pm Cool, since we're on the Movie Subject, I suggest you all go out and rent "Rogue Force". ?It will really get your blood going for Rogue Spear/Rainbow6 and it relates to the game more than any other flick I've seen yet. ?It's bad ass, you'll like it. ?With that said, don't forget "BlackHawk Down". ?These movies are reasons games like RS exist. ?It also gives you an idea on how important proper communication and teamwork is. ?Something we |?K|'s work on so hard on8)
For more info on "Rogue Force" go here===> http://www.ifilm.com/ifilm/product/film_info/0,3699,2382586,00.html Title: Re: Movies Post by: Grifter on May 22, 2002, 06:14:59 pm Quote These movies are reasons games like RS exist. Actually, I think a bunch of kick ass best sellers by guys like... oh, say.... Tom Clancy are more responsible for games like R6 and RS. Which is actually on topic because I'm dreading "The Sum of All Fears". Man, talk about taking nothing but character names from the book.... This was the book that Jack Ryan became President after all... God, if they wanted to change actors, they could have at least made Rainbow Six or Without Remorse.... Bah! Title: Re: Movies Post by: Ace on May 22, 2002, 07:46:06 pm GRIFT, I believe you are thinking of Debt of Honor. The only major change from what I know is that the bad guys are Neo-Nazi's instead of Middle Eastern terroritsts. I talked to someone who has read the book and seen an advanced preview of the movie and he said it was pretty good.
Title: Re: Movies Post by: †FiRE Infection on May 22, 2002, 09:46:44 pm American History X-great movie
Title: Re: Movies Post by: Brain on May 22, 2002, 11:06:35 pm seaking of movies, here is a very cool parody of starwars and pulp fiction
www.pulpphantom.com oh yea pulp fiction was a cool movie too Title: Re: Movies Post by: Grifter on May 22, 2002, 11:55:00 pm Good catch Ace, it was Debt of Honor I was thinking of.
I hear the movie is quite good, but it doesn't follow the book at all. Which just pisses me off... they are going to turn this into a James Bond series if they aren't careful.... which is a shame because it's such a great series of books. Title: Re: Movies Post by: jn.blackhand on May 23, 2002, 12:20:41 am I feel old.
Taxi Driver The Godfather The Third Man Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love the Bomb A Clockwork Orange Apocalypse Now Dog Day Afternoon Citizen Kane Blackboard Jungle 12 Angry Men Seven Samurai Stagecoach Duck Soup On The Waterfront Casablanca High Noon Title: Re: Movies Post by: Bondo on May 23, 2002, 12:56:11 am They say Citizen Kane is the greatest American film of all time, but I'd say it is the most vastly overrated film of all time across the world. It was just bad.
I agree about 12 Angry Men though. Godfather was alright but I think Mafia and Gangster films are overrated as well. I've seen maybe 1/3 of the movies on your list and the only one I'd say was actually great was 12 Angry Men. Title: Re: Movies Post by: Grifter on May 23, 2002, 08:59:50 am Man Blackie.. not a film on that list younger then like 25 years... most of them are a lot older then me =P
Everyone you point to there is a great flick.. just not my most watched DVD's. BTW, you missed one flick that would fit in with your thread Anatomy of a Murder, Great flick based upon a true court case and filmed in the same courtroom and town that the actual trial took place (Brain, you should be able to name that town). If you haven't seen it, rent it. Title: Re: Movies Post by: Brain on May 23, 2002, 11:31:36 am yes, the seven samauri was a very good movie
and i cant believe that i forgot to mension blade earlier than this about anatomy of a murder, sorry grift i need to see the movie first before i can identify the town how did you like pulp phantom? did anybody click on the link? |
