Title: OK pic-hounds, can ya help me? Post by: Cocobolo on November 27, 2002, 04:09:58 pm I'm looking for uniform pics from middle eastern nations. I have Saudi, Iraqui (actually it's the same as UK's DPM), but I can't find many others. Grab a middle eastern map and whatever countries you guys can find uniforms from in that region (with the exception os Israel, I've got those, lol) please post me the links? or the pics? they can be low quality, it doesn't matter, I can recreate them but I want them to be authentic so I can get it right. These are for the IDF missions, By the way... ;)

Title: Re:OK pic-hounds, can ya help me? Post by: Sam Schwartz on November 27, 2002, 05:15:12 pm Hi Friends:
This is only tangentially related but if you are interested in seeing a movie of IDF special forces on a raid you can go to http://www.idf.il/newsite/english/download.stm The last film shows a raid on the Gazan headquarters of the PA Security Force. The movie isn't that action packed but you get to see the wild mix of uniforms and weapons which the real SF units use when on raids. In light of the legal problems of isayeret, the idf website may be the only place to go to for photos in the future. Sam Title: Re:OK pic-hounds, can ya help me? Post by: BravoMike on November 27, 2002, 09:15:04 pm Would scanned drawings from an accurate book series be helpful. Or I can probably dig up some photos of bodies or pows from 67 or 73 but they would likely be dated. Let me know if either would be helpful.
Title: Re:OK pic-hounds, can ya help me? Post by: Cocobolo on November 29, 2002, 11:44:31 pm Yeah, I know it's hard to get info on these kits. Anything you guys happen to find, let me know?
Title: Re:OK pic-hounds, can ya help me? Post by: abe on November 30, 2002, 09:42:24 am here are a couple of sites i found that might help you:
www.tridentmilitary.com/WorldCamouflage.htm http://www.worldcamo.com/mideast.htm http://www.battlefront.com/resources/poc/poc_africa.html btw. ive been playing IDF 1.2 on my mac and it works fine except one uniform texture (the paratrooper). I tried using 1.3, but i had problems with all the uniforms and kits. Is there any chance that you could make IDF 1.2 available in .zip format so that mac people can play it as well? I think its a great mod and it would be cool to have some games with it online. anyways, i hope those links are useful and keep up the good work. Title: Re:OK pic-hounds, can ya help me? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on November 30, 2002, 06:31:02 pm abe once the site redesign is done I'll add a Ghost Recon mod archive where you can download bunch of PC mods converted(most only have to be rezipped) for Mac .
Expect this to be within the next 14 days. Bye, Mauti Title: Re:OK pic-hounds, can ya help me? I really have no knowledge of how GR works on Mac, Mauti is the guy for conversions. Also, thanks for the links. I knew about trident, but the others I didn't and they were useful! |
