Title: German KSK Post by: DeltaDude on October 19, 2002, 09:32:43 pm Hey, Coco. The guys thought I should bring this concept up on you. Have you considered creating a KSK skin using the boonie hat model that already exsists. Just add desert and woodland flecktarn camo to it instead of what is being used at the moment. I think they would make some awsome skins. I love the ones with helmets also, but KSK would probably use the boonies more often. Thanks for listening.
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on October 19, 2002, 11:23:15 pm Delta dude,
Look at one of my previous posts regarding your request,I'm on it,I've just spent the last 3 hours trying to fix the lost vertices on my KSK .chr, now I'm not really sure of what I'm doing here,so this model will maybe have to wait,I'll try to export later on. If you want I can make you a basic KSK with Mike Schell's skinner, but I'll need to ask Bajabravo for permission to tweak his German Desert cam from Sabre teams, this shouldn't be a problem,I'll e-mail him tonight, and if he agrees I can have it done by Monday,I'm flat out at work at the mo!!! Title: Re:German KSK Post by: DeltaDude on October 19, 2002, 11:32:05 pm :o Wow you would really do that? Sheesh I really appreciate that. I don't want to trouble you or anything but if you could...words wouldn't portray the gratitude I'd feel.

Title: Re:German KSK Post by: DeltaDude on October 19, 2002, 11:39:28 pm Not to ask to much Calum but could you possibly make a boonie model using the bajabravo (if given permission) for the woodland also?
@Raven-those are using helmets, were discussing taking the helmet away and adding a boonie hat instead. If I'm asking to much Calum, tell me, you just got me going now is all LoL! Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Raven2367 on October 19, 2002, 11:46:41 pm yeah boonies are a lot better n e way :-)
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on October 20, 2002, 12:15:03 am Delta dude,
I've sent you an e-mail with my project,I can create your woodland KSK operator for you as I have the default German Flecktern cammo,I'll try for Monday for this one too,I've sent a request to Tom(Bajabravo) for permission to use the desert variant, again,I could use the default from DS,but it's pretty sh*t!! later Title: Re:German KSK Post by: DeltaDude on October 20, 2002, 01:30:55 am That character model you sent me looks great Calum.
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on October 20, 2002, 02:26:20 am Hey Calum mind sending it to me too? ;D
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: WardenMac on October 20, 2002, 11:10:56 am lmao, SC, your into everything man. BTW, you asked me about something while I was gone, a weapon? I cant remember, its 4 am and Ive had a few. Shoot me a email and Ill get it to ya bro.
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on October 20, 2002, 08:47:02 pm lol Mac what can I say, I love Ghost Recon! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/banana.gif) heh
Mac I was just thinking about that yesterday, but said f-it, didn't want to bother ya. But since you brought it up look for a PM soon. ;D Edit - Calum that model looks really good. I seriously think you should do a woodland flecktarn skin too. That'd be killer. Anyway can't wait to see an ingame screenshot. Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on October 21, 2002, 01:47:04 am Okay boys
He's done,a couple of small look through's,but seeing as this is my first attempt,I'm pretty chuffed with myself!!I have tried to use Mike skinner to create the woodland from the same .chr, but I'm not having much success, will post you an ingame shot. The sleeve pockets came out really well, along with the pocket in the TAC Vest, let me see if I can get this to work first, before you can get the .chr,It maybe another couple of days, but hopefully it's what you've been wanting!!? Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on October 21, 2002, 02:08:14 am Hey take your time man, I know how difficult and time consuming these things are. Can't wait for the finished product though, the max ss looked really good. :)

Hope you guy's enjoy him, cause he was a sh*t to make, this being my 1st attempt and all that!! Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on October 25, 2002, 03:13:57 am Thank you very much sir. My only complait thus far is that the woodland camo is way too bright. But I just edited the contrast, now it looks better. ;D Still though Calum awesome work for your first time/mod. ;)
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on October 25, 2002, 07:54:06 am Oops,
I remember I'd turned up the B+C to see something more clearer, and saved it by mistake, and forgot to undo!!,Anyway glad you liked him,did you have any problems getting him into the game? I guess it's time to start work on some of his buddie's!!..........watch this space! Title: Re:German KSK Post by: WardenMac on October 26, 2002, 04:30:32 am Somebody post a pic (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/soon.gif)
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: DeltaDude on October 26, 2002, 08:26:16 am All I get is a white shape of the model made out of pixels. There is no detail or anything. What am I doing wrong?
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on October 26, 2002, 08:54:58 am Delta,
I've emailed you, What you must have, and I didn't do in the zip was to have a working directory,in your mods folder, try this 1.Create a folder called KSK 2.Within the KSK folder, create subfolders, called a)ACTOR ,b)CHARACTER,c)TEXTURES 3.Copy the .atr file to the actor folder 4.copy the .chr files and the 2 uniform files to the character folder 5.copy the face textures to the texture folder, Try this it should work Title: Re:German KSK Post by: DeltaDude on October 26, 2002, 07:37:35 pm That still doesn't seem to work, I'm going to uninstall and try again.
Do I need the 1.4 Patch for it to work? Since the skin is based of an IT Skin, Do I need IT? Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Raven2367 on October 26, 2002, 09:45:29 pm and i havent got desert siege! :o
thank you anyway though. I bet its great! ;) Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on October 26, 2002, 10:18:19 pm Strange,
I'm patched to 1.4,but the skins and .chr were done for 1.3,and as far as I know are not compatable with IT,let me check out my mod folder,if it works then I'll resend it to you all, sorry about this! This happened to me with DS as well,I couldn't get the files to link,God knows what I did,but it's ok now! Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on October 26, 2002, 10:43:32 pm It's working fine for me. I don't know what you guys are doing wrong. ???
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on October 27, 2002, 12:38:00 am What's the verdict Suicide?
ha ha,I hope no one missinterprets that!! I've made a 2nd .chr based on the short sleeved Marine,he's got a boonie on too,and I'm working on the 3rd Boonie KSK as we speak! Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on October 27, 2002, 02:19:12 am I think he turned out great. My only suggestion would be to add a small German flag to the shoulder. Like I said for your first character I think he turned out extremely well. :)

Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on November 03, 2002, 04:52:50 pm Hey Calum how are those new models coming along?
Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Calum Keen on November 03, 2002, 07:53:35 pm Coming along fine, had a few probs with the collapsed vertices forming lookthroughs,I've gone back to scratch on a couple.
I have 2 more, almost done, one with a beanie cap(watch cap) and goggles, having a bit of trouble with them!! and another operator with a boonie had and goggles,I always seem to have a vertice problem on the arms, making them distorted,I think Otto has this problem!!? ;) Title: Re:German KSK Post by: Suicide_Commando on November 03, 2002, 08:26:30 pm Sounds cool. Just wanted to make sure you hadn't given up since you haven't posted anything in awhile. Still looking forward to seeing the ss's. :)
