Title: Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: Typhy on October 01, 2002, 06:39:46 am The title says it all, the Ravens have defeated the Broncos. 34-23. What a second quarter. 31 points for the Ravens. In terms of quality, lots of mistakes, the most costly ones coming from Denver. For example, the 108 yard Field Goal returned for a touchdown at the end of the first half. As Jason Elam missed a ( 57 year I think ) field goal as the half ended, Chris McAlister returned a missed field goal 108 yards for a TD, this is an all-time record for returns. I guess all that we gotta wait for is Ace to come on and insult Bondo and the Broncos...

actually wtf are you talking about typhy? Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: Bondo on October 01, 2002, 04:30:24 pm Well, this isn't really an indication of Denver except special teams...The offense was good (over 400 yards) except the 3 interceptions, the defense was acceptable (only 250 yards) except for the penalties. But my god the special teams, field goal returned for a touchdown, punt returned for a touchdown, punt blocked that was immediately turned into a touchdown. It seems that everything that could go wrong did...which means on the balance, they probably won't have much go wrong now for a number of games.
As for Ace saying anything...why would he, we only comment on rivalry games...I mean I didn't post about K-State kicking USC's ass. Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Denver got their asses handed to them plain and simple. As for USC, we did not get our asses kicked by K-State. We lost by a lousy touchdown. I mean, it's not like they beat us like a redheaded stepchild 40-3. Oh wait, where does that score sound familiar from? Bondo, I think the real reason to talk is because A) USC 0wn3d and B) USC was a touchdown away from still being undefeated vs CU barely scratching out a 2-2 record. I think you finally learned that you have no ground to stand on and shut that big yapper. Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: EUR_Zaitsev on October 01, 2002, 10:05:25 pm Well I dont care accept my two teams are both playoff bound:
Niners ( who lost to the powerful bronco squad but have won otherwise) AND Saints (lost to Lions only because floodintg in NO. Regardless they have a young quarterback who was at college where I live and a young receiving corps with Boo williams. Duece McCalister continues to thrive and well Saints will be in the super bowl in coming years Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: Jeb on October 01, 2002, 11:54:09 pm I thought the seahawks scoring 5 TDs in under 2 mins was much better :)
Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: Bondo on October 02, 2002, 12:40:33 am Denver got their asses handed to them by getting 400 yards to the Ravens' 250? Odd that. It isn't like any team is going to go undefeated. So the Broncos lost a game...they are still better than the 49ers.
And if CU beats K-State this weekend than the USC loss means absolutely nothing considering the bad officiating and that it was the first game with a new QB. Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! It was over. The final stats make it seem far more competitive than it really was. Actually, the USC-CU game has and will always mean 40-3 hahahahahahahaha. Besides, K-State will roll over CU anyways. You ready to be 2-3 Bondo? Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: Brain on October 02, 2002, 07:46:41 am The offense was good (over 400 yards) except the 3 interceptions... bondo, 0 picks is good play, 3 picks and over 1000 yarsd is good play. 3 picks and having a 50 point lead is good play. 3 picks in 400 yards, AND loosing the game is just plain sloppy playTitle: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: EUR_Zaitsev on October 02, 2002, 01:02:36 pm I like Oregon and UVA in C-football but I think its nice to have ND back in the picture but theres no point in arguing it we know Miami can't lose.
Title: Re:Baltimore downs Denver! Post by: PsYcO aSsAsSiN on October 02, 2002, 09:41:03 pm Miami will be whacked by Florida State, Tennessee, or Virginia Tech...most likely Virginia Tech though. Mark my words, the Miami Hurricanes will lose at least a game this season.
