I really don't care anymore about the other gaming world (apart from computer gaming) ask me about the old days (atari, nintendo, snes, genesis and the like) and i'll answer.

They named it Mario Sunshine because the point of the game is that mario went on vacation, where there is alot of sunshine. Get the point.... good. However during his vacation he encounters a whole bunch of new enemies and what not. All I know is the game got a really good rating from EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly) and their ratings are really accurate. Supposedly Mario has some sort of jetpack now too. Seems like a good buy to me. Mario got all 9.5s from EGM and their only complaint was the camera controls...which after playing the game really aren't much of a problem at all (I've only thought that the camera sucked about 3 times in 6 hours which is astounding for a 3D platformer). But yes, Sunshine is fitting for the game...your primary goal is to collect "Shines", and all of your work is to remove the problem that is causing the sun to be blocked...so the title is perfect outside the fact that insecure teenage boys won't buy it...but they don't own a Gamecube in the first place. What it all boils down to is if you like platformers...as Mario Sunshine is the best 3D platformer ever (beating out Mario 64 and Rayman 2)...although this is after 6 hours so maybe it will lose some appeal.
